Complex but completely adorable! Same question as Elizabeth....I missed how the washers are attached....are they just attached to each other and then glued to the mechanism ?

Sherry Woods yep! I stack 4 (or however many it takes to get it flush to your top panel, or higher if you prefer not to use foam).

How did you attach the stacked washers to the paper before adding the foam tape?

Sorry about that! After stacking them, I just used liquid glue to adhere them to the mechanism through the opening.
