Darkside is arguably the most assertive black metal drummer on the scene. The perfect balance between the fact that he uses uncomplicated fills and spends many seconds without hitting a cymbal to let the guitar riffs and lyrics stand out & the amazing display of talent that he shows on the main part of the song without actually being abusive or overwhelmingly fast is something that you don´t easily find these days.

Excellent excellent excellent stick work on that bell and ride cymbal. All while running 16ths on double bass. Look how he has to alternate hands to keep hitting the snare on 2 and 4 timing, switching up if the other hand isn't available. Also if only listening you'd think it was just the same hand on the snare, meaning that he is hitting the snare in the exact place with exact pressure with different hands---THIS IS NOT EASY AT ALL. His snare timing with either hand never lags or jumps the gun. This is excellent work.

This is the video that all drum teachers need to show to their students and say to them, "this is what you need to aspire to. Practice 10 hours a day and I'll see you next week".

Astonishing! For people who have a good taste of music, despite what is your favorite genre. Even a fan of old school hip hop like me, can and must appreciate the skills of Darkside. Unbelievable!

В нем есть нечто такое что не дает пропустить ни одной ноты. Потрясающий барабанщик. Его игра на тарелках это музыкальный оргазм. Очень редкое явление.

Beside the fact that I was in this concert, several weeks later I've met with Mgła members after a show in Skopje, really humble and pleasant persons. I wish all the bands were like these guys, fabulous music made by fabulous people. They really deserve all the pennies you spend on them. Picked up some merchandising today at @ no solace. Mikołaj & Maciej, keep doing what you're doing and PLEASE, do a tour with some Kriegsmaschine songs.
