You have to get a third party tool to enable wireless CarPlay feature. I will have one in the future.

Hi Jerry, question for you, im using an MG3 Core, which you (and other places on the internet) have listed as being compatible. It does have Apple CarPlay. But the car doesnt seem to have that second USB port. Any help here?

Hi, thank you for your video. I have MG zs ev long range. I tried to play my music through usb or SD card. It downloads all songs, not as files but just as almost 700 songs. Even if I select favourite songs I cannot play these songs, I have to choose song manually.

@@JerryPanandCars OK, I tried setting up, but the MG tries to have me use Carbitlink instead of Android Auto, and Carbitlink seems very unstable. When I plug in my phone (correct USB port on the left) and set it for file transfers/Android Auto it's OK but nothing happens on the MG info screen. Any ideas?

Hey Jerry, great work. I'm still having issues to link up my phone. I have a new oppo android 13, it works in my wife's car a MG ZST 2022 but won't work in my HS +EV 2022. My old phone with Android 11 will work in both cars. Any hints how to resolve this issue?

There are many things to check. -Right USB port? -Is it charging? If so, go swipe down and check USB charging settings to Transfer File.

Hi Sheryl, 2 ways to fix it: 1. make sure you didnt mute the guidance on google map when guidance is on. 2. when the guidance is making any announcement, quickly increase the volume.

Wireless dongle procedure doesn't work on HS exclusive 20plate they pair each other but don't really..... don't want untidy cables.

Not sure about map update on other MGs. In New Zealand, you can only do the update via online website. You can only use Android Auto if your car supports it.

Hi fellow owners Having purchased The MG HS Excite 2023 model I am at a loss as how to get the DAB radio setting. On the main infotainment screen it has FM and AM but the DAB is ghosted in dark grey....Am I to believe this Excite model has No DAB Radio? And if so it's a poor show not having a DAB setting on a year old car, surley these should come as a standard setting? Any info greatly appreciated.

If you're using Android, cable connected, just say "Hey Google" or with Ios, say "Siri" then it'll pick it up, same with mobile Alexa, say "Alexa".

Do you have NZ / AU version? If you do, there is no voice command for vehicle feature. It only works under Apple CarPlay / Android Auto for SIRI or Google Assist.

I sometimes have a similar issue. Typically, where my cell service is lagging/hitting a dead spot. I use TKS service + German sim card for my Samsung Galaxy 21 for reference. I came here a little while back from U.S. for work.

One Question. Can the Android Auto navigation plan routes with charging stops for EVs? I am currently thinking to get an MG4 electric, but there is a big price gap between the one with on board Nav (and 10 things I dont want to pay for) and the one I would want to get if Android Auto could account for charging stops.

Android Auto won't have access to your battery level. It is just normal navigation.

My andoid auto seems to lag about 10-15 minutes into a trip, the maps is about 500m-1000m off. Also touching icons on the screen can take up to seconds to respond. I have a brand new ZST Essence. Has anyone else had slow down issues? I have a S23 ultra and use high quality cables, android auto does not slow down in the other 2 cars I also drive frequently

Hi Jerry. So I am confused here. I don't want any wires. I want to use everything through my bluetooth connection ie not have to use android auto. In my last car a Renault, if I was connected and in the address boo (Managed by another button on steering wheel) when I pressed the face like thing for 15secs it then beeped you said the name, ie Renault call name etc, and it connected and made the call. But now I have an MG and I cannot get the call thing to work wirelessly, what am I doing wrong. I am using a new Samsung Galaxy noto 20. BTW I now have the MG Exclusive 1.5 DCT Auto, 2022 model. The MG doesn't have in-built voice command like your Renault. Hence there is no function for voice command on Bluetooth. You can only use voice command when you connect Android Auto.
