Hi Miles, Thanks for the video, it’s really useful. I have a 2023 trophy connect. I can’t see the HVAC tap on my version of the app. Is this a settings issue? Also is it possible to bind two phones to the car simultaneously or does the current user have bind the car when they get in ? Mr wife and I share the car.

When using android auto i always presumed it was using my own phone data but using android auto on MG this would use the car's internal multi sim? I guess if only you have selected a trim level with live services included? Seems a great service especially in rural areas with poor network coverage but will the MG multi sim work in Ireland or is it just UK only?

I have a strange question. I hope to get one (though the waiting list is enormous. In Thailand where I live, the MG ZS EV is a connected car which I don't like. I have some chats with people on this and the question now is where the antennas for this are because I want to be able to disconnect them. Any idea?

This has to be the best explanation given for the connectivity of the MG EV. I have seen other videos, but the explanations (audio + video) were not that good.

I have a question about charging. I charge my MG 2023 ZS EV on a Zappi 7Kw charger. Is it ok for battery health to charge it to 100% every time or should I limit to 80%, like you do for rapid charging?

If it is the Standard Range version, with 51kWh battery, then the battery chemistry is LiFePo4, which can withstand being charged to 100% regularly without detriment to the longevity of the battery. If it's the Long Range version with 73kWh Li-Ion battery, it would be advisable to limit charging to 80% unless you are doing long journeys.

iSmart only works on the MG ZS EV mk2, MG5 facelift, and MG4. Not on the older mk1 ZS EV, or the pre-facelift MG5.

Gutted the current MG5 LR doesn’t have app connectivity, seems like a good app! My old golf GTE did and it was a game changer. 6 days until it turns up though, looking forward to it.

No, the app is only compatible with the MG ZS EV mk2, MG4 and MG5 mk2 models. The others don't have the connectivity available on the cars themselves.

If a dealer has connected to the car and created an account. How do you delete that account and setup a new user? I once bought a used leaf and because the previous owner was still registered I couldn’t setup an account, it took ages to get it sorted out.

great presentation pitty i didn't see the video before ordering my MG i would have maybe gone for the connect version and not just the Trophy a question does the standard tropy resond to vioce commands like open the roof temperature setting etc.

hi guys i have a couple of question. if some one may answer will be helpfull 1) on the application notice, it is noted that it is possible to operate the heated seats remotely. I can't find the option. 2) on the application it is noted alarm function with option speed exceeded. I have the alarm option but not this one. 3) 3) is it possible to have two different profiles for one vehicle ? (currently I use a single profile for two people and a single vehicle) i have MG ZS EV luxury( second generation)

No, it only works with the newer MG models which have the Android-based infotainment system, such as the MG ZS EV mk2, MG4, MG5 facelift.

No, it's only available for the new 2022 Long Range version of the ZS EV, and subsequent models. So not available for the current MG5/MG5 LR, ZS EV, or HS PHEV. They don't have the sim card and telematics ECU built into them.

Probably a lazy dealer didn't do PDC properly (or didn't do a new part of it). Speak to your dealership. It may also be that a new car simply takes a time for the servers to sync (not surprising with MG, but if this is the case, is a poor showing).

The iSmart app is available for the facelifted MG5 Long Range, but not the pre-facelift (big chrome grille) model. It requires telecoms hardware installed in the dash, so it's not a simple retrofit.

You've got the Long Range model, which has 75kg roof load for both pre and post-facelift. The facelifted MG5 has an android-based infotainment system, Vs the Windows based pre-facelift model, so that's another reason why the iSmart app isn't available as an upgrade
