Totally agree with what I’ve seen with the m340i in regards as to the cars performing differently. I’ve got a 21’ and it will pop on take off and sounds very aggressive downshifting I’ve heard other m340is and they sound NOTHING like mine.

I was obsessed with HP #s because I had a 550hp car. But, I stage 1 flashed a 440 and while there's more power and torque what really made the biggest difference when I started carving up canyon roads was the completely new shift pattern. Now when I'm on the throttle it shifts every 500 rpm so it's tightly held in any part of the torque curve you want to be in and that makes it a really fabulous driving improvement. Simply can't wait to get it on the track and see how that changes everything as I won't find myself in a long sweeping corner too fast for the gear I'm in and too slow for the next gear like I used to with my other track cars. -BM3.

I know this is not related but at what power would you have to worry about rebuilding the transmission on the 8 spd. I have heard of some people having slipping transmissions that is why i asked.
