I do it all the time in my 2 daban models sanding every pegs hehe just try my method mate Sand then try to put it in Sand again until its smooth to rotate happy building!!

That is exactly what I learned from my mistake with the astray. Never get too excited with sanding or filing pegs or you'll end up with very loose parts. Thank you for the tip nitsukie. 😁

I have a problem building the head unit, how did you fix it smoothly? do have any recommendations? I have an issue on the top part connecting to the V fin,

For the loose parts especially on the head, I used tamiya cement to permanently bond parts together. Without doing this, they fall off easily and it gets annoyingly difficult to put them back each time. You can also use super glue ifbyou don't have tamiya cement.

I just finished mine today. No need to sand or file any parts. The only problem is the knee armor on the left side. If i play with the gundam, it falls. It's my 7th gundam and not the most difficult to make.

Nice to hear that my friend! With some luck, sometimes you get very good kits from Daban. Mine was okay but I had some fitting issues. Then I made some mistakes in filing some parts. hehe All in all this is a good kit.

I got an issue with the head part, top white one keep poping out the face plate everytime I tried to put it in and the top kept leaving gap between the black part.

Yes EricVash, I think I also experienced that on the head part and yes some parts have nasty seam lines. Better use tamiya cement or super glue the loose parts.

It was a disaster on my part because I made a mistake of sanding some of the joints too much. They became too loose and wont stay in place for a long period of time. If you are careful with the joints, then you'll do just fine. By the way, this kit is one of the best looking kits that I have so far.

My girlfriend bought this for me (she doesnt know what gundams are and didnt realize it was a Daban model) I've built gundams for awhile and thought this would be easy but i was wrong. Only on the first step (Head) and nothing fits well lol

You are correct. This particular kit from Daban has fitting flaws. I actually felt the same when I am building kits. What happen for me is because I am so used to building Daban kits, whenever I build kits from Bandai I feel so happy and amazed on how perfect the kits are. hehehe

Yes, the kit comes with movable fingers but the way it move is like 1.) the thumb is moveable, 2.) the pointing finger is moveable, and 3.) the middle finger, ring finger, and pinky finger is linked together but also moveable. Why did you get this? The Metal Build KO gunpla 8812 and 8814 just came out last year while this kit came out over some yrs ago. Recent kits are better now. The Astray Red Frame MB 8812 is great but watch out for very sharp parts that can actually cut u when trying to assemble the kit.

Well the only reason I picked this over the MB version is the price. I was able to buy this for more than half the price of the Metal build version. But hey, I might get the MB version 8812 and 8814 in the future for comparison sake. @@rgshobbies9411 Happy New Year to u too. I wasn't kidding with the sharp parts and u'll probably like the other Astray kits like the 8806, 8810(Blue Astray), 8812/8814. Major issue is the backpack connection assembly, the manual is messed up at that part. There are other build issues but it's documented online. Also u can order from gmc as they're way cheaper, fast&reliable. www.gundammodelcenter.com/

@@justinecasi350 KO knockoff. Daban and Dragon Momoko released gunpla knockoff kits of the metal build figures. Not exact but it's something that Bandai should had done since they don't make any more metal build figures after their initial release. Bandai usually sells out the pre-order.

The polycaps are just ok. Some parts are hard fitting so be careful if you plan on sanding or filing some parts. You don't want to over file the parts trust me. hehehe

I can recommend this kit for builders that has time and patience for sanding/filing pegs. This kit in my experience has a lot of hard fit parts. The leg armor plates falls off easily which can be fixed by glueing the parts, if you are willing to do some glueing. If these issues are OK with you, then this kit from Daban is definitely a BADASS kit considering its price point. Happy building!

Yes sir Israel. Pwede naman ang tamiya cement lalo na kung wala ka naman plan na idisassemble ang kit in the future. Sure ka na hinde matatanggal mga loose na armor parts kahit anong pose gawin mo sa kit. Kapag sa loose joints naman, pwede mo itry lagyan ng nail polish ang ball joint or pegs para mas sumikip (Patuyuin mo muna ha. hahaha). Huwag gamitin ang cement sa joints or else hinde mo na magagalaw ang part na yun. Happy building!

Kmusta ung stickers and decals na included sa kit? maayos din ba ang pagkaprint or may mga mis-alignment? sana ung Dalin Decals na binili ko parehas lng sa kasama sa kit pra kung sakali palpak ung prints, meron ako extra from Dalin.

@@israelbjornmartinez2651 tatlong klaseng stickers ang kasama. So far ang ginamit ko lang ay yung foil stickers. Yung semi transparent stickers at dry transfer decals ay mukhang high quality naman. Ok ang print quality at wala akong napansin na mis-alignment.

I won't recommend this for total beginners because there are a lot of parts that are either too loose or too tight to fit together. This kit will really test one's patience. But this is just based on what happened to me while building this kit. Others might have a different experience. Over all, it is still worth the effort since you'll be getting an amazing looking kit for a very low price. Happy building mate! 😁

I just got building this frame I wouldn't recommend it for beginners I had a really good time building it try a easier frame but if you like this frame come back to it with the experience you learned is gana help you out with the small parts and the lil nubs you have to take off from the parts happy gunpla!!

This unit is Daban 6601 while the Metal Build is Daban 8812. They are technically the same kit but the Metal Build is slightly different in design. Also, the metal build is a more current version (also more expensive) than the older 6601.

You know you dont have to really fully detach tactical arms blade everytime its transform, especially you already over sanded the peg. And thats beam torch on the back of the unit is so stupid, i always use the beam torch on the hand replacing the rifle..

Yes my friend. This kit from Daban has a lot of parts that are very hard snaps. I had to file some of the pegs and holes so that I can snap them together. Just be careful though not to overdo it. This kit is not advisable for beginners due to this problem.

Astray Red Frame lng ang model kit na Daban na lagi kong sinasand ang mga butas nya due to fitting issues. Build Strike, Full Armor Unicorn, saka 00 Quant - no fitting issues naman.

Plastic quality of that particular red frame is trash compared to their recently released mars jacket, the red frame kai etc. I dunno, I try not to buy older daban bootlegs because their quality is just not good. But I'm happy to say recent releases are pretty solid and affordable

Hi Samantha. If you are looking for massive looking kit, go for the Sazabi. But if you are into huge weapon, i'll go for Astray red frame kai. Wing zero custom HiRM also looks awesome and lots of details.

Yes you are correct Jeffrey. Newer versions definitely have better plastic quality than this one. It is pricier than this one but if you have budget for it then that would be the better choice. Happy building everyone! 😁
