MG Gundam Astray Red Frame Kai - Review! Still a good model kit to have?

This video provide my point of view regarding to the 1/100 MG GUNDAM ASTRAY RED FRAME LOWE GUELE'S CUSTOMIZE MOBILE SUIT MBF-PO2KAI. If you are in consideration of this model but doubt the release year as 2010, this video maybe able to help on that decision.

Are you gonna do panel line?? For decal, make sure you use a clean hobby knife or razor knife cause most of the part is very small. Cut out the big decal on the left shoulder and right knee cause it will get in the way of the armor split. Be patient 😁

Nice look at the toys. I got my blue and red day one. The big swords are flimsy now. I intend to replace parts with metal some day.

@@GundamCloseUpView yes. I'll post a build with it. The great thing about them are the more rigid plastics used as polycaps (I think pvc) angld the weight adds stability. Specially for builds with heavy backpacks.

I have been told that the some parts of this kit can easily break when building without proper precautions. Does the less movement refrain parts from breakage?

Definitely, if you move it less, it won't become loose that quickly. Pay attention to the waist and leg joint, that one broken on me twice. Also make use of the action base for all of the pose, it will help to derail the weight a bit. :)

@@wwg8105 yeah just be patient with the Panel line and decal. It took me around $20 hours across 3 days in total cause you have to wait for the panel line to dry before applying decal.

That is the only part that super loose. I you want to make it more solid, maybe do something about the hip and leg joint. I broke both of them when moving them around to much. :)

This was the first gunpla I’ve built I really like the look the arms fall off easy but I don’t know if that’s a problem for most gunplas

Yes, you can, Bandai give us all the part for the Gatling gun.

This is a regular release so for sure it is cheaper in price. The red dragon is a Pbandai so definitely pricy. The red dragon is more or less a color swap plus an extra Tactical arm, so it can pose with W giant sword instead of 1.

Oh my bad if I didn’t mention it on the video. Mine is red as well, I just happen to have the black one coming with the MG QanT. I switch it for the video cause the red is too much for the visuals on the video :)

Some of the joint will be not as tight cause the big sword is quite heavy to pose. Definitely use the display stand, that would help a bit.

It is more hit or miss, for sure not the best stand out there. It was mostly used for supporting the Tactical arm. Just have to be patient and use some trick like leaning to 1 direction combine with the model while posing; then all is good. :)

PG for sure don’t touch yet, but MG is some aspects is a bit better to RG cause the size of the part is bigger and easier to handle. RG is really really tiny on some area.

Which weapon are you talking about? If the katana, those have a solid connection peck. If you mean the tactical arm, that one is oversize so definitely use the support stand Bandai provide. The side pec is a bit hard but once you get it in, it will stick.

@@hmmdoh7835 ohh that one, yes, the connection is fairly week, but I randomly use it cause I just like posing the giant sword in the front. Even if I posing it on the back, I would cheat it a bit by having 1 arm holding the handle or lean the tip of the sword toward the wall or something. You can also try leaning the sword toward the gundam as well, so that would also help to hold it in place by taking advantage of the gravity. Hope that will help :)
