MG says - “your car, Chassis number TD/C20686, an EXLNA ( EXport; Left hand drive; North America) specification, with original factory fitted engine XPAG/TD3/20483 is confirmed in our Factory Production records as built at Abingdon on - October 8 1952. It would have been shipped to USA following that date, but would probably have arrived at its ultimate initial dealership sales location in USA late in 1952, and been subsequently sold and initially registered in early 1953; and hence would be described as a 1953 model”

You’re entitled to your opinion but this car in its entirety has had its provenance proven and acknowledged by MG. Why would you say all this nasty BS anyway?

Shabby and not likely a 53. Also , Genuine TD MK II, no proof. Bubble in right hood panel, check. Dual SUs ( which anyone could instal), Check Andrex Shocks, unknown. Factory tricked pout motor, unknown. Brass tag cleverly damaged to hide the TD C if a true MK II. Paint job, hideous.
