Penalties to NSW 8 to 2. Restarts to NSW 3 to 1. Possession to NSW 54% to 46% and NSW spent most of the game in the Qld half. I’d think that 80% of the penalty calls and 54% of possession meant the ball was definitely running our way, we just didn’t use it.

Ironic how Tommy Turbo may have contributed inadvertently to his own demise. Firstly, Turbo gave away a penalty by laying all over Fifita, and the ensuing set of six led to his shoulder injury. The 1st game for me is the best I’ve seen ever, since the State of Origins from day one to now; 8 minutes to go NSW 18 - 16 Queensland, NSW 13 players Queensland 12 players scored had 2 tries; how if game 2 last night with a player each sent off and a NSW player binned for 10 minutes (from the same offending the 2 being sent off) had happened with 20 or 10 minutes to go for the match, or even earlier? Would not it be nice to see the same outcome again; 11 player NSW scored five times to beat Queensland with 12 players? That would be my best State of Origin! Game 1 was no other ever in the history of State of Origin; a 12 player team trailing 2 points with 8 minutes left to score twice and win! Congratulations to our dear Queensland Maroons, commiserations to NSW Blues!

Probably not the best take. In game 1 QLD had both wingers injured so Ben Hunt had to fill in the centres (which is not his usual position), Reuben Cotter playing on the edge, down to 12 on the field and behind on the scoreboard but somehow got through. The Api Koroisau try was a knock on but awarded, NSW had the most ball and field possession with plenty of momentum. All these moments could've let QLD lose their focus and give in but they didn't. Bad moments happen in footy all the time but that's what seperates great teams and players from the rest. So if the Turbo moment and the first and second QLD try got to NSW, they simply don't have a winning mindset, only when everything is going their way do they have it.

"You cant combat injury?" its origin, some one always gets injured. And Turbo's form has been sub par this year. I like turbo but lets be honest he barely got selected for game 1 and didnt do much in it, why would his injury cause any debate that he would change the outcome. Cook replacing him as opposed to Murray who didn't get on till 45mins in. Can some one tell me why Cam Murray sat on the bench so long? Was he just forgotten? Qld have repeatedly thrown in Capewell to the centres in origin due to injury, do you really think they would first choice put Harry Grant in their and take away that attacking weapon and completely fuck their game plan. The silver lining is Freddy and Brandy made enough poor selections in game 1 which were justified by correcting them for game 2 and really obvious 'in-game' tactical errors for both games that it has to be a foregone conclusion they are gone. Also one more game to show the above because Im predicting Billy really really wants that clean sweep. Only question is who? We need to find the balance of passion and current day tactical ability of ORIGIN not nrl, e.g. billy/jt/cam recently retired so know the blue print and bleed maroon. Can we throw enough $ at Cooper Cronk

All I have to say is that game 1 when Cleary kicked the bomb for Crichton try how offside was luai
They can complain all they want about the Refs, sure there were more than a couple of forward passes and that try by val holmes was very questionable, but NSW had the rub of the green in game 1, infact they still had a good run in game 2 considering the penalty count was QLD 2-9 NSW.....Some of the penalties NSW got were dodgy too. So between game 1 and game 2, I think it evened out. QLD were the better side in a tight one for game 1, but absolutely smashed Blues in game 2, blues looked too scared to pull the trigger in risk of failure, yet they failed anyway. QLD defended very well and took occasional stabs in offense that worked most of the time. Even when QLD made mistakes, they didn't let the mistakes get to them, they just kept going 100% for the full 80m, at no stage in the game did NSW look like they were in complete control........even when they got their one try, it was a fluke.

Will nsw get out and encourage their team next month? That is what the team needs. Regarding the referee over the years the favour normally goes blue so a few calls maroon if fair play.

This is the problem with NSW - they are a team of professionals not warriors. The team culture is poor. Relying on talent alone will not bring victory. The NSW culture has to change. Bring in an ex All-Blacks coach for next season - he will teach them positive culture. Good team culture is everything. Ask Slater.

Why wouldn't the Blues have a players that could have filled in for Tom"Blown Turbo" T.... Cam Murray would have been a better choice....as Freddie been smoking the grass instead of walking on it....😅

MG Says "I don't want to sound like sour grapes" But you do. Penalty count 9.-2 NSW. downward pressure is all that is required with the rule change in scoring a try. NSW could not break the QLD defence. If you are looking for who's to blame, it is not the refs, it is the NSW players. They just don't get Origin, they showed last night they thought it was about being tough, and baiting the opposition, but it is not. Origin is about effort, doing the one percenters right, Cherry-Evans making that tackle, that was all effort. At his age there is no way he should have made that tackle, but he did. Compare that crowd last night to a NSW crowd. I was there, the volume was astronomical, I have never heard a crowd like that. NSW needs to look at the Qld camp and learn from the way the passion is passed on from one generation to the other.

Fitter and other nsw coaches in the past want to do too much themselves. Very head strong.... it just doesn't work against the three yodas QLD has 😊

Freddy started 2-0 as a coach. Billy is 2-0 as a coach. To say Billy is better at this point is stupid. Billy could go on a skid and have a worse record then Fitler 😂

Hey MG, the Queensland team has had to play the opposite team, the ref, the linesmen and the bunker many many times and lose, but we never ever blame our players for a loss, regardless of how big the score difference. We know that as soon as they find their feet they will give 250% for the QLD crowd, the staff and their pride. The worst thing NSW Ever did was mock QLD with all that behind the try line crap ( ten pin bowling, grenade throwing )back in the early 2000’s, that’s when big Mal stepped in and said “ no more of that shit fuckwits “ and right there and then a dynasty was formed, even better then the one in 1980 when QLD put a stop to NSW stealing QLD players

QLD game one lost a forward and both wingers and had a player in the bin and QLD still won. No excuses game 2 !! They weren't hungry enough. Penalty count 9/2 against QLD and several 6 agains in NSW favour. NO FUCKING EXCUSES
