You can complain about forward passes and awarded trys that were knock ons till the cows come home. But on the back of a ridiculous 9-2 penalty count and multiple 6 agains, they just couldnt score. Thats it. No attacking structure against a very committed defensive effort by Queensland.

Exactly in both games the blues got the penalty count. They got the time in possession. They got the field position. There’s absolutely no reason the blues lost. They can’t perform when it matters. Time guys like latrell, turbo, teddy, Cleary and luai, api and cook were all moved on. Addo-carr too.

Yes, you have been dominating field position, but the conclusion that it was as a result of your forwards doing a good job is turning a blind eye to the insane number of penalties and ruck infringements NSW had been hand fed. Exactly. Queensland hired Paul green. I was a fan of that selection. He’s a premiership winning coach he’s played origin. He played for super league australia. He was a good coach. He did not succeed in Queensland origin as a coach. So we cut him. It’s a ruthless spot because it matters. Now green got unfairly criticised and I sincerely hope that isn’t what lead to what happened next. But that’s the nature of origin.

NSW are up against Slater and Cam ,when they were players only way to beat them was to beat them at there own game ,they manipulate refs ,they manipulate players ,and now they use same tactics in the media around origin time .QLD when Freddy was going well went back to drawing board ,cooper Cronk said at the time "QLD need to copy what NSW are doing with Freddy and bring in Slater as coach .NSW should do the same and learn from what QLD are doing .Cooper Cronk said on NRL 360 last year "QLD use the seige mentality every origin game "..he said you can use it in origin more so then NRL because origin is only 3 games ,he said you will burn out in NRL if you do it every week but origin you just wind your players right up emotionly and use fuel like the US v them or the "everyone is against us mentality"..theres so many things QLD do better ,and NSW need to learn from QLD .Getting the right origin players is also what QLD do well ,origin isnt NRL ,2 diff types of players .NSW had to many cooks ,QLD no origin is all about the power game through the middle ,rarely will they use 2nd phase ,just quick play balls and running in behind the ruck .These are all things QLD do well and NSW can learn from . NSW players Yeo ,Murray ,Jake travoivich sais it all ,all cooks and ball playing forwards,murray is all you need there as he has the fastest leg speed ,only need 1 of those players in the team ,rest need be power runners .I think Luai played really well but i think he is aplayer that is devisive even amungst hes own team ,cant have that for team harmony unfortunatly ,thats were Freddy Failed he needed to see these things but relied on the penrith players and Brandy to much for intel on other players .i.e RCG

The boom box came in with Luai ,2 years ago ,and word is alot of players privately are pissed of with having to listen to loud music for days on end ,it's a small issue that just highlights the lack of perspective the coaches have of what is happening within the camp ,alot of players are saying that the environment isn't what it use to be when Freddy first started, I think that comes down to Freddy being under the blow torch applied by certain media types targeting Freddy ,and the fact that players don't really think Freddy has a grasp on selections last 3 years ,then you throw in loud music from a boombox all day ,players smile and pretend al is good ,but it wasn't was it.

NSW aren't that far off. They should have won game 1. Game 2 at Suncorp was always going to be tough. No matter what. I think it's the hunger that QLD has. They are all running & tackling like men possessed. They played like a team that has been together for years. NSW seem disjointed & lacking a playmaker. At 5/8 or halfback. In the past when they had those players they were able to dominate.

NSW have a culture & a coaching problem, the former is very hard to solve given the short periods of time together & the latter is simpler as the forwards have played well, so it's just getting the backline combinations operating for the umbrella rush defence that Billy (&Bellamy) execute so well. Finally I don't think it's specifically about the music/boom box, i think in any environment where there is a strong subgroup (due to Panthers selections & success) it's going to alienate other team mates. This is why you see only To'o supporting Crichton in his break down the park and nine Queenslanders, their whole camp was based on effort, that was the most obvious example of it, but it was shown in every aspect of both games

Hand feed penalties to keep NSW in the contest is what made them look good on paper.... Ashley Klein did the job of the Forwards.. awarding penalties and 6 agains to get them out of there half and into Maroons territory... a few penalties that should have been awarded to the Maroons but were not ended up working in the favour of Queensland... one was a late shot on Reece walsh and the other a ruck infringement.. both getting tries off that set. If you ever wonder why Queensland are so good now its because they've always had to earn it... not given it. 9 to 2 penalty count is ridiculous, luia and addo car 2 swinging arms game 1 nothing, but Flegler sent for a so called high shot in the same game common. At the moment the issue is the halves so maybe try Walker and Reynolds, Cleary and Luai have been so dominant for Penrith but Slater has studied them and with DCE and Munster has been able to diffuse them, Cleary is not there so maybe in the dead match try something different, that said Luai has been one of the best players there.

All he does at origin is pick fights with players outplaying him. He markets brands and promotes himself and says silly crap on social media reminding people they've gotta get up and go to work tomorrow. No responsibility or accountability taken. Nicho Hynes craps all over Jerome Luai. Moses is also head and shoulders better than Cleary. As a qlder, this year's series victory didn't give much satisfaction as it were with nsw losing Latrel and Tommy turbo to injuries, but the sides nsw selectors keep putting on the field is killing everyone, even us qlders. Wayne Bennet has been trying to signal urgent changes and tips yo nsw through the media, and nsw won't listen to him because he's a qlder. Wayne Bennet actually needs to be nsw next coach. If they hired Bennet, next year, i guarantee, Bennet could very well help them win the shield.

His wife is the manager of that horse stud business, Billy would also have people higher than his wife looking after the show. The guy is very smart and would have processes in place so he can focus on the origin which really reflects his results so far. NSW: Forwards great - Backs average - spine average - bench great. The fix for game 3: Forwards no change, select career centres, replace Luai in the spine and start the original bench players (Martin and Murray).

The truth is even with Turbo not getting injured, NSW would still have lost by 15 points. The secret to having any chance of defeating QLD is to pick a team of NSW super-defenders causing a boring low-scoring match. That is NSW's only hope because they can never match QLD in attack. Going with toe to toe tactics against QLD is suicide regardless of who plays for NSW.

NSW lost game because Hines was put in the centers missed 1 tackle that he shouldn't have had to make because Cleary let Munster get on his outside. NSW lost game 2 because they put a hooker in the centers, because they weren't sure if Cam Murray's groin injury would hold out. Simply they shouldn't have picked Cam Murray if they had any doubt. Damien Cook was lost in the centers just as Hines was in game 1
