Did you try and hold the home button down for 30 seconds or so? If that doesn't work, MG garage will be the next option.

Hi jerry, I m having MG HS 2022 AWD trophy edition model in Qatar. My infotainment system is not showing MG pilot option. Also features like Lane assistance is not showing on speedometer main screen. However enable/disable option is there. Please guide

The MG Pilot may not be available in certain regions. Check with local dealer for specification.

Hi Jerry your videos are beneficial, I have an MG HS, and I have a problem with my equalizer. every time I restart my car the equalizer goes back to zero. Is there a video where you explain about this? Thanks

Thanks Not sure about that. It should stay how you set last time. It may need some update or check by MG dealer.

Thanks for another great video. I have a quick question, hope you can advise, I have an MG Hs automatic (2021) in the UK, and when I start my car and go Reverse, in the reverse gear the goes really slow for a second and stops, I have to then again have to start the car and then go Reverse, it works then, is there is a problem with mg hs automatic cars, I emailed the mg hs customer service team but no reply.

That sounds bizzare but best to talk to a local MG dealer and get it checked if you are concerned.

Hi Jerry, Thank you for the tips, very useful I have a 2023 MG Zs, can I rearrange the icons and sub-icons on the screen? Like putting the video icon near the phone icon? Also, I recently found out thow to access the advanced settings (mainly to operate videos while driving, FOR the kids and not for me, as I know it's very dangerous), my question is can I disable the OSD features on the video (as it comes on and off when I brake/accelerate)? Thank you

Thanks for the comment. Not possible to rearrange icons unfortunately. I believe that was a hidden engineering mode feature in older screens. I don't know how to enable that for the new ZS EV/

Hi Jerry. How do you ‘set’ the instrument display panel to default to the speed indicator upon starting? Somehow when I start the car it goes to a different setting rather than current speed. Thanks in advance!

Did you have cruise control on or lane assist on? Some vehicles may switch automatically to assist screen if your assist controls are on.

Yes, Lane Assist was/is on, but when starting the car, a message appears on the console that Lane Assist is 'Off', and you can see the yellow LA light on the upper-left corner of the console screen. I tried turning LA on then off again on the MG Setup screen, but nothing changes. Any thoughts on why this is happening?

Hi Jerry, Great Viddeo. I need your help as I got a MG HS 2022 Model but suddenly it reset itself and now KM has changed to Miles and I tried to reset to original version but it doesnt plus if i go in engineriing modeo by taping 4 corners anticlock wise it gives me options for Universal, Pages and Language but inside all these tabs their is no way to change units to KM or temp. Appreciate your help

Sorry that means your vehicle has a different software version compared to mine. You will need to go to MG workshop and get them to fix it.

Thanks Jerry, very useful. However, with my MG ZS SR 2022 (Australia) when I press and hold the Home button I don't get the Standby screen coming up. Instead it keeps going straight to Hard Restart. Also, I can't locate the "off screen" option - any advice?

Swipe the screen, you should find off screen setting.

Thanks Jerry I tried again, and yes there is a downward swipe after the sideways swipe that brings up another useful screen I hadn't come across before​. It includes the "Screen Off" function, yay! @@JerryPanandCars

Brother, can you tell me why MGRx8 AC controls are inactive? I cant control the ac from touch screen. The screen is perfectly working for all other applications. The blower speed is stationary and cannot be switched off.

Hello. We have a problem where the Dab screen has gone, it does not show list of stations, it just shows a video type screen and can't get it to go back to dab. Can you show us how to do that or is it broken and needs to be replaced?

Unfortunately, we don’t have DAB in NZ. I wouldn’t be able to help with this. Talk to your dealer or workshop.

I believe you can only go into the engineering mode and change it back. Sadly that's the part I don't encourage everyone to do it.

Hi Jerry - really enjoy your videos. Thank you. I have a problem with my Satnav in my new MG HS (UK). I downloaded the update software (free within 90 days) from Naviextra Toolbox. It failed and now my navigate screen just shows the cursor - no maps. I have reported the problem to Naviextra and they have given me a ticket number but still no fix after over a week. I really need my Satnav over the Christmas period. Is there anyway of restoring the original factory settings while I wait for another reply from Naviextra please? Keep up the great work.
