This guy is not telling the real truth . The TC was never sold here in the USA . The TC was bought in England by Service men and U.S. citizens that was passing threw England or visiting England . They did like the little Midgets so much that they had them shiped here to the USA . All TC and later was LH drive . MG seen the chance to make good money and in 1951 MG with it's new model the TD was the first MG cars to be sold by a dealer here in the USA .

Well, I don't see your problem, the "guy" never stated the TC was sold in the USA. He says that the TC was what started the sport car interest in the US. That more or less agrees with what you said.

TC was never LH drive. All were RH drive. TD was first with LH drive.
