Society has a big impact to ourselves and there are a lot of agendas and happenings which are too mainstream and archaic. For a guy like me, to be an unconventional man it takes bravery. Yes, every one may be confident but not everyone is brave to wear such outfit or ideas that is uniquely different. Also, respecting and understanding each others' style and craft is a must. Norms for me are also archaic. Nowadays, the style of a person is flaunted amazingly without second thoughts and hesitations. For guys like me, I break the norm by taking care of myself through grooming. And it is not a girly thing to have. Grooming is a practice of proper hygiene. Like for example, ang hilamos noon sa mga lalaki ay sabon at tubig lang. Ngayon, grooming is an essential for guys who maintain their outlook to be presentable and pleasant. For me, I include face wash, toner etc and also I fix my hair when I go out. Especially, ngayong internship ko and my 4th year in college. It is a big help for me when I fix my hair cause it boosts my confidence. Kahit sobrang toxic sa duty sa hospital, I still manage to be presentable. Confidence will always be the key.

🍉 - I believe that self-care is not selfish. By taking care of myself means loving myself because I care (yizamss). I don't think being clean and doing stuffs like most women does makes you less as a man and lessen your masculinity. It comes from the mind and how you see things in a wider context. In the end, people will always have a say on anything. So by loving yourself and treating yourself right comes from YOU, it's a choice. It's a mind over matter and believing on your own principles and beliefs that makes you more like a man. It's how you treat people with love, respect, tolerance and kindness.
