MGB Driveshaft Removal and Install - prepare for U-joints

Is driveshaft one word? I think it is. Here is a brief video showing the removal of a driveshaft from an MGB. I also show putting it back in place. I recently removed a driveshaft to replace the u-joints.

When towing a B with a two wheel dolly the guys sometimes recommend taking a few moments to disconnect the driveshaft (a debated need). If this is done I'm pretty sure they are referencing the back with captive bolts. Will the shaft pull forward and free without disconnecting at the front? I think the plan is to disconnect at the rear and hold the shaft up with some wire or such.

Yup, you can just remove it from the rear end, then push it forward and use some wire to keep it in place. The debate is about lubrication in the trans when it's tilted.

Why not just pull the engine & transmission and have the slip joint come out? Avoid undoing the u-joints?
