The rubber bumper MGs were around when I was a kid, so I prefer them.

I like the MG with the rubber bumpers, used to work renovating these in the 90s those rubber bumpers weighed very heavy. Breaks my heart now when i see these Chinese so called MGs on the road , God how could we have let a BRITISH icon come to this ? Only the British!!! ):

We have had three of these in our family - one when they first came out in 77 and two in 95 - father son rand a cousin respectively

Very enjoyable video, I have a Jubilee as well, have returned back to almost standard specification. They are very nice cars and drive very well indeed. Ignore all those who rubbish rubber bumpers mgbs, they are very wrong. Cheers and enjoy your Classics 😊

I've never found the rubber bumper unattractive and it looks better today than ever!

Jubilees would look much better with the chrome side strips, chrome mirrors and as with all rubber bumpers adding a colour matched chin spoiler underneath to give elongation and continuation of bodywork is an absolute essential, inca yellow is actually the best colour to match with the black rubber

The jubilee retained the chrome side stripes but they were painted over 😮😮😮😮

I have had my Jubilee for 26 years now. Would never part with it. As for road holding, I have only encountered body roll once when I swerved to avoid someone pulling out of a side street on me. Drive them sensibly and it’s not a problem. Jubilees are rare cars but next year is their 50th birthday and plans are afoot for a celebration in Abingdon.

In the video, at first I thought it was a bit gaudy, mainly because of the gold wheels. However, on further viewing I changed my mind. It is somehow "cool".

Whats with that insurance quote at the end? £1100 per year? For an MGB? 😮

Would look even better with chrome bumpers and silver wheels😊

Surely it’s not difficult to bring the suspension back down to where it used to be be then you have the best example surely.

You didn’t get a plaque inside you had to ask for one , and then , it was a random number, not the sequence the cars were produced

Get those hideous, heavy bumpers off it😂

Jubilee looks good but I personally think the runout metallic pewter GT and bronze B LE’s were more attractive and having owned both RB and Chrome models the RB is a much better car in almost every way and most controversially I even prefer the rubber bumpers 🫡
