Please put up the video of how to wire the plug with the 4 wires from the Kraken. I have the same plug currently and I am trying to figure out the best way to wire the Kraken with that plug. Thank you!

In depth on wiring would be great .

Can you show us how you wired the plugs?

I’ll see if I can come up with something there

Just got done installing mine, got lucky that the previous holes worked out. Thanks for the video!

This might be a helpful tip for someone. If you are going to install a Livescope, then you will have to remove the motor from the shaft anyway. I think it might be helpful to remove the motor while mounting the trolling motor to the boat. It would make it weigh a lot less when you are trying to hold everything up by yourself.

Thanks for the tip Phil! Livescope transducer install is next!

Is there anything that has to be adjusted for the motor to lay in the stowed position with prop facing port or starboard? Thanks in advance

That’s a good question but I don’t believe so. Believe it or not I haven’t even had it on the water yet :( soon though!!

Yep I ran into the same shaft clearance issue but using the Minn Kota mounting plate (removable one) I had worked fine. The garmin removable plate holes would of had to been bolted to the outside lip of the gunnel (NOT DOING THAT). I had it out once and it's super responsive which will take some getting use too. Now I need to run my livescope threw it today and hope to get in the WI river this week... And YES the plug was a chore!

Have you tried the Shuttle Slide? I haven't installed my Kraken yet and it hangs too far off of the front to be able to clear the rub rail. I am thinking about getting the shuttle slide for it.

@@phil-1115I have not but it looks legit if you can fit it on your boat...

Do you know if Garmin has a 0 degree adapter for their livescope integrated bracket?

Pls do a video on your stowaway mount - interested to see articulation without horizontal mounting.

I noticed how you have your stowaway mount mounted. Does this give you any trouble?Good video very helpful

Can’t wait to see how it operates on the water keep us posted. I’ve heard few comments on it being heavy to stow and about the power button being hard to get to when it’s stowed , what do you think?
@MGMarineTech8 ай бұрын
It’s heavier than the terrova, but other than that I don’t think either will be a issue at all
@audreez6 ай бұрын
so you only need 4 holes not all 6 to be attached to the bow?
@MGMarineTech6 ай бұрын
Yes the majority of motors are only attached with 4 bolts. If you can get 6 that’s great but not mandatory
@timgrzybowski88008 ай бұрын
I am also looking at replacing my Terrova with a Kraken. Question is can you cut down the shaft to around 56” looking forward to part 3
@MGMarineTech8 ай бұрын
I’m sure you could, I haven’t looked into that. But could you just use a force? I’d be happy to discuss options with you and get you the right motor!
@ryansagisi4928 ай бұрын
I have the Kraken coming in Monday. I’ll be cutting down shaft to 36” after I test it and make sure it will work on my kayak. From watching and following Japanese anglers it can be done. I think it might void warranty but risk I’m willing to take to complete my Garmin network.
@phil-11156 ай бұрын
@@ryansagisi492, Did you cut it down? How difficult was it? It would seem to me that you are going to have a lot of extra length of the cables coming through the shaft.
