Still can't believe we missed M83 for this. We were not amused. The worst "performance" of the lineup. Then we went over to catch the last 5 minutes of M83 who were giving an amazing full band performance with no gimmicks. The worst time to see MGMT ever. When they came out acting like they were playing hockey, we were like okay they aren't really performing, more like a half band appearance. Such a lame experience.

You mean this song or the whole MGMT set? I wasn't there. They do perform with a full band, hence all of the gear behind them in this song. Ben plays the keyboards and sings backup while Andrew plays guitar and sings lead. This isn't a gimmick. They've said for 17 years that this is the one song they don't really do with the band because it's all overlapping samples, bits and multiple keyboards. They DO play it with the full band but probably just wanted to have fun with it at this show.

I feel like mgmt has been notoriously hit and miss live their whole career. I only chose mgmt over m83 as a huge fan of this album and the fact that they might never play the whole album live again whereas m83 would surely come back which they did in the fall.
