apartment906 I like the fact that we are seeing more of Big Boss's story prior to the "Shadow of Moses incident" and some badass new characters in the process. I've played the demo of MGSV: Ground zero and I like it so far. Graphics and the gameplay was awesome, but the enemies are little bit harder to knock out this time. No complaints though. I hope it goes little more in depth on how "The Patriots" got started. Knowing my dad, he would be the first to purchase it, just to rub it in lol

reesescupbrandy1 Yeah, I like how Kojima is bringing the MGS story "full circle" as it were, connecting the NES/Famicom games to the PSX and beyond versions. It also seems as though Kojima is utilizing a Star Wars-method of story telling in that MGS is really the story of Big Boss (Like Anakin's story is the story of Star Wars). I can't wait for this game!!

Flexbert Somehow, kind of. I understood the overarching plot and followed along pretty well. Some things like Liquid's gene shit flew over my head though. Also when I was this young I never beat Raven's 2nd fight myself. I got too fucking terrified by the sound of him running after me so I had my older brother do it for me. Did everything else legit though. Metal Gear Solid 2 however, yeah that flew over my head too.

It'll be interesting to see where TPP goes and ends up. There's a lot of speculation on the topic, one regarding the inevitable falling out between Big Boss and Kaz. Kaz would then teach rookie solid snake to take down BB in the old nintendo ones. Crazy cause Kaz is a brilliant tactician, and survivalist who was Big Boss's right hand man for years.....then killed by Big Boss's son with superior genes (Liquid) in his own home. So nuts to think that that's how Kaz meets his demise.

Also, Colonel doesn't sound completely bored, like he did in Twin Snakes. He was like: "Snake. That's not Master Miller..." In this he's like: "SNAKE! That's not Master Miller!!" So good!

The music that plays when Liquid reveals to Snake he's been deceived the entire game before revealing himself is absolutely scary. Sends chills RIGHT down your spine. This was a great plot twist for its time, by today's standards it would still be a good one. More reason why MGS1 was way beyond its time, and still one of the greatest video games ever. Dont believe that? Consider this: The Smithsonian American Art Museum is holding an exhibit, and this is the premiere game they are showcasing.

The funniest thing about this: Looking back, you realize that you should have seen this coming the whole time you were playing. But it was an utter shock that Miller was really Liquid. And when that creepy music played while Snake was yelling at him after finding out he was being used all along, it just sent chills down your spine.

Because Snake had never met Liquid before reaching shadow moses island, they were raised in different countries and involved in different conflicts, it was simply the reaction of other characters like Meryl )and Naomi I think??) at their similarity in the game that brought it to your attention. Liquid spent a lot of years in england and then the middle east. Snake even asks Liquid 'who are you' during the game and then Liquid tells him that they are brothers.
