If you're talking story then blame Konami for not giving the game the time it needed to be fleshed out. Even then it's still wildly entertaining and cutscenes are masterfully done, and the worst part is maybe one or two dangling threads at the end.

I had never been so hyped for a release of a game as much as I was for MGSV. I know the game we got was not bad but at the same time not even close to what some wanted, but I look back fondly at the long pre-release fantasizing about what the game was SUPPOSED TO BE. There were so many things I was expecting and dreamed of. I've stopped hating MGSV, but I haven't let go of that wonderful time when all of the fans were analyzing every little detail and predicting what would happen and hyping ourselves up beyond all reason.

Phantom Pain is the best title possible in hindsight. Been playing MGS my entire life and its my favorite franchise by far. The hype I had for this was immeasurable and the final product was so unexpected that I've barely played videogames since. I think the trailers actually have cutscenes that aren't in the game, so there's literally more story in these than the actual game. HURT ME MORE KONAMI

Sparklations It is a sad story and I realize it. But the game barely had moments where I really cried and MGSV also definitely misses epic ending that makes you shed manly tears or just feel this epicness like in some previous MGS games. I expected more from the last part of the series. There's a difference. If you understand the meaning of the story, even if being sad it might not make you cry because of the way it is told. Which was a disappointment to me in TPP. One of the things I seek most in games is tearful moments, where the moments it the game make you feel so much to cry. Those are memorable moments. There were a few but not enough. It's still amazing game in other ways though. My favorite story is still MGS3 and it's still one of the best games ever made imo...

How is there no tearful moments? Listen to Nuclear and you will understand Venom's mental state. It's the story of a man broken by Big Boss. He had everything stolen from him just so Big Boss could retreat to the shadows and all Big Boss can say to him is thanks? Not sorry for giving you all my bullshit and forcing you to deal with my past. People say the game doesn't show Big Boss's downfall but it does. It does in the only way Kojima could. By distancing you from the character and showing you that this is a man with no remorse, no guilt.

This is so scary watching this trailer gave me goosebumps, while I was watching the trailer i saw the konami logo on the corner and then immediately thought of what konami did to the metal gear series and to kojima and everyone who worked at konami This trailer is a metaphor to konami and everyone who work for metal gear series for an example the mother base is the home of the people that worked for the metal gear series, and the xof soldiers that were killing off the mother base soldiers they were the worker of the metal gear series but instead of konami killing the workers konami is firing the workers. The xof soldiers are higher up at konami, and skull face when he erased the xof logo that was konami eraseing kojima's name from the game cover and revolver ocelot is sony helping kojima/ kojima productions!
