I have been playing amped up on console for around 5 hours, but I plan on spending a lot more time to 100% the game. It runs above 20 FPS On max settings at almost all times, on the lowest setting im not sure, but id imagine you would probably have 30+ consistently. A few moments of slowdown here and there, (it’s a nearly 30 year old home console, what do you expect lol) but for the most part it’s just as smooth as the base game. Legendary mod! The soundtrack is phenomenal and it just has SO MUCH CONTENT!!!

I always thought MK64 was more fun than most of the later titles because it felt more like an open world. You can explore the castle on Royal Raceway or the train tracks in the desert or jump from one track down to another. Later titles don't let you go off the main course.

Same. There was something magical about going off the track and exploring. That was in 1996. It seems like they dont bother with easter eggs like that anymore

As a fellow Overkart Creator, I can say that Litro's modding skill is impressive, I try so hard to make Jerod Kart just as good but it just falls short, I don't have the modding prowess for this game like he does.

This will actually work on original HW, just need that super rare turbo ram upgrade you were able to get when the 64 was around in stores 😂 plays just fine on Project64. And made it hella worth dusting off my Ol System or just play on my Android 😎

Amped Up makes the original N64 game boring as hell. Thank you Litronom for expanding upon the greatest Mario Kart title and righting every wrong about it. There's so much in it that didn't have to be done but it was!

I just got my Everdrive64 in the mail right before Xmas I’m SO excited to find some of these mods and play them, I’m wondering tho how this will preform on original hardware with my Everdrive. Anyone doing this right now with any tips for best performance?

I usually play with the level of detail set to max and the Anti aliasing off. Version 2.99 seems more optimized on levels that chugged a bit before. You can turn the debug info on with L + D pad down and the average FPS is usually 25 in outdoor sections and 20 at the lowest when playing single player.
