Man, this got me right in the feels. I just finished this mission like 30 minutes ago and had to put down the game for tonight, let me process all this. The mission itself sucked major ass, had to restart like 30 times because I couldn't beat it, and on my last try before I beat it, I forgot to say no to the chicken hat, so...I had the chicken hat throughout all the cutscenes. Which took away some of the emotion, because I had a very silly chicken hat with silly eyes. But even still, it got me right in the feels.

That’s really sad, but also really funny 😆 Have you tried playing it again since then? I can recommend you go in armed with the highest grade CGM(I think it’s grade 6), then grade 6 parasite suit with armour cartridges and flash supply grenades! That’s how I managed it on my 2nd play through; the 1st time I used the battle dress instead, but it’s not as damage absorbing as the parasite suit is 🤘 I think I died some 3-4(?) times on the first play through - and ended up using a lot of GMP on support -but I managed on my second try in my second play through!

I wrote Quiet off as just another Kojima horny addition, but they explained her reasoning for being naked so well and used it in many creative ways. It's clear she doesn't like having to dress that way or anything about her new life but she keeps going and tries to be a better person despite being brought back solely to cause death and destruction. She had a beautiful arc and actually ended up being one of the best characters in the game despite not speaking for 99.9% of it and having mostly no development for most of the game either

She chose this path of her own free will, but accepted that she was and is being manipulated while doing it. She is death embodied, and she is love. Real love, that requires no words to be expressed. She is Quiet. She is Depth. She is a Human Being made into a monster by evil men, and used by evil men for their own goals. She is still, above all else, a woman. Incredible actress, incredible writing, incredible truths. Her character, like her name sake, is right there with is the entire time, preaching all this truth to those rare few who are able to hear it. I think more people need to learn how.

wait a sec nobody calls him Ahab except Ishmeal which is very possibly a halucination, if you check the files his face without bandages is not big boss neither Keitherland who plays big boss only voice, he does not shoot soldiers at the hospital sequence when he tells you shoot the man at left and he will shot the one at right ( he does not does shot ), very possibly ahab is still at hospital

Me too man. Just got around playing this game about a month ago. Already have over 200 hours on this game, and I mostly use Quiet. And I just finished this mission as well. Hit me right in the feels. I already know about the replayable mission (don't wanna say much in case you dont know), but still, I started to miss her a lot when I went into free roam and couldn't have her as a buddy.

TOXIC I think you have to replay mission 11 or whichever mission Quiet gets introduced to you 7 times. Edit: after the 6th replay you will see the title change to "REUNION" and that will be the 7th time that you replay. After that you got her back.

After this mission, I had no interest in completing the remaining missions for a while. The game suddenly feels so empty. Quiet was a badass character and loyal buddy. Only the dear D-Dog is a good reason to go on.

Losing Quiet just because a fucking cobra is ridiculous! No mention there are literally gunfights and tank shots there so any wild animals should've ran from that area. If only Quiet was with V when the Outer Heaven incident happen Solid Snake might've failed his mission or atleast V can be saved. V and Quiet is my favorite character in MG universe.

Bit late to it but the cobra has a bit of symbolism. Venom Snake, as his name implies, is full of venom. At first we think it means his will for vengeance, but in fact it is his pain of having lost so much (as Skull Face specifies). Now Venom tries to cling on whatever he has left because of his "venom", but because he refuses to let go of it (or simply because he can't), it ends up destroying everything he has (as the cobra's venom is ultimately the cause why Quiet dies).

This mission one of the best in game (better only 43). Cutscenes wre epic, finally gameplay tell us to kill everything that moves (tanks, armored vehicle, soldiers, helicopter). Especially I like because Pequod got pretty much lines at the end

In paz's tapes of GZ, we get to hear about their friendship and brotherhood again!! Kaz didn't deserve to be ended as a traitor to BB. Kojima just needed a reason for kaz to train and aid SS in mg2. Quite and Kaz both must be brought back to V and BB in mgs6.

Not sure if it’s useful to you two years down the line here, but it’s easier using grade 5 or 6 CGM(it can lock onto 8 targets) and wear the parasite suit with armour cartridges; and remember supply flash grenades!
