I'm surprised that you didn't mention setting sleep gas mine traps. Turn off the power to an outpost, then put a sleep gas mine in front of the switch. Someone will always be sent to check on it, and it stealthily takes care of one guard and ensures the power stays off without sending the base into alert like if you destroyed it.

I'm a little late to the party, but once you unlock silencers for the weapon type (say, snipers, as an example), you get a suppressor for the M2000 first, you can customize your tranq sniper to get a suppressor long before you'd normally unlock.

The last one though with the helicopter it should be made known that not just any sniper rifle will work, only the higher tier rifles have the penetration power to punch through and hit the pilot inside as the glass is very bullet resistant and only rifles like Anti-Material rifles can pack the necessary kick to punch through otherwise bullets will just bounce right off. I found that out first hand when I alerted a chopper for the first time, the first thing that came to mind was sniping the pilot but despite repeated dead on shots on the pilot my bullets just could not get through.

I have read posts about people using lower tier rifles but having to fire several shots at the cockpit before the glass would finally break, making the pilot exposed to attack.

The method of the supply drop for Quiet still works but it requires a little more finesse and caution. The trick to it is that once the supply drop has been requested, you have to periodically peek out from cover, so that she has a visual on you. As soon as she has sight of you, go back to cover. She prioritizes her visual on you over what's going on above her. Keep doing that until the supply drop lands. Do that twice and you're good to go.

Minor tip/trick but it's worth mentioning. You can dive up and down stairs. Extremely useful if in a rush to go up stairs because if you dive up, you will actually make it all the way up on most sets of stairs. If you get good at timing, you can even use this on spiral stairs to make very good time. Useful on FOBs and such. Not sure if there's less exposure doing this versus running up the stairs but I would expect so.

Water Pistol is borderline overpowered. It fries any electrical equipment, puts out fires (both from threats or as lights), creates a sound to distract guards (doesn't leave a trace like magazines), stuns guards for a few seconds, holds up guards, stuns skulls, and even defeat The Man on Fire (takes 80 shots though, so good luck there). It's also permanently silent.

Don't forget that you can knock out guards in vehicles (trucks and jeeps) with weapons. Shoot out the back tire (don't do the front with an AMR sniper, because the engine will blow up lol), and the guards inside will soon swerve and crash, knocking them out! Then you Fulton a vehicle and 2-3 guards in one go. Don't know if this works for armored vehicles...

You could actually still do the quiet supply drop thing you just have to distract her while it's falling down on her. So you could get behind cover call in the supply drop and when it's close just tap the aim button rapidly so that quiet is aiming/taking shots at you and it will still work.

For chopper fights if you are using the 12.7mm sniper rifles. If you are having a hard time hitting the pilot you can also aim for the engines on either side. I was curious one day and shot at the engine and it took one shot with the Brennan and it spun out.

A real pro tip is having D horse do the (defecate) option on a road and cars who drive on it slip out and all the drivers get dizzy and cannot fight back for a while so you can extract the car or just kill everybody it is a really effective thing to do in missions and side ops when a prisoner you need to extract is being transported, and also if the car is being escorted (by tanks or armored vehicles) the vehicle in front will slip out causing all the vehicles to stop, so while they are stopped you can extract all of them and they won’t even know what hit them

Pro Tip: Charge up the stun arm to max by holding down the button for 12 seconds. Then release nearby lights or equipment to use as a mini EMP that will also stun enemies. This can only be done with the fully upgraded one.

Tip number 1. Use magazines to make soldiers look the other way, then throw another opposite to where they weren't looking further away. They'll look and walk longer exactly where you wanted them to. They'll try to look for the noise with more caution. If you throw it in front of them. They'll just flash the light exactly where you threw the mag and not move. You can also hit the top of tents or the second floor to make them investigate the inside or on the second floor next to their hearing proximity. You can also attract multiple enemies and separate the bunch if there's enough space with another mag.

08:35 you didn't shoot the pilot, you can see the bullet spark on the top right of the chopper. The Brennan sniper rifle is just that strong of a rifle to take down the enemy chopper. Does more damage than the grade 2 Grom-11 and same amount as the grade 6 Killer Bee rocket launchers. Notice the shot you took at 08:12 and it already started smoking. I've tried to shoot the pilot myself, even when the chopper is stable enough for you to get a clear shot you can't.

You don't even have to do that. In my mission she moved from the first position the same as in the video, but I instantly ordered a simple pistol on her second position and she got downed. Just have to time it before she decides to change positions again.

All tricks I mostly learn by myself hehe ( still, some are good one ) Tip for Quiet in Extreme modes, trow many decoy ( the more the better ) in different places, mostly place she cant aim well ( I used the Active Decoy dunno if it's work with 'normal' decoys ) it's will confuse Quiet and she will change of places like jump between two places for get a good position for aim the decoy but since they are many she's kind of confuse and don't know what to aim, because that she will can't take position and hold her sniper gun, in this situation you can move without fear to get shot and like that I finish her with sleeping gas ( since she usually jump from two places I watch where she leave and come back and I prepare a sleeping grenade and throw it just before she come back, bam! all the objectives, S rank. Learn where she can move too and put some sleeping mines in different spots when she's confused by the decoys work too.

For anyone watching this today, knocking Quiet out with supply drops does still work. You just have to bait her into shooting at you just before it hits and she will take knockout damage. Takes 2 to knock her out. One of the locations she runs to has a roof, so you have to wait for her to move. Just did this on PS5 definitive edition the other day.
