Apparently, you can get even faster time, but more difficult to pull off, by simply running to the tanks and causing them to stop to fire at you. You will get alert and injured though.

Now THAT'S some lateral thinking! I was having trouble with this one, and some of the other strategies on YT weren't very easy, and this worked perfectly. Only thing I did differently is purposely get spotted by the guard so he comes over to have a closer look. I immediately rolled away then took him out. Thanks!

this mission really bugged me, I tried just running at the tanks to stop them several times and failed. I can't believe I didn't think about just dropping a soldier in the road and waiting. Worked the first time and got an easy S rank. Frankly this is easy enough to farm tanks/money on with this method!

@@edepot this is no trick lol, first time after getting Intel it tells you the location and the spawn location remains the same no matter how many times you do this mission so you can completely skip pin pointing the location and travel straight to where these 3 vehicle spawn.

Worked like a charm. I even got lucky in the first outpost so that one lone guard strolled all the way down the road to the concrete barrier and I could take him with me without detection. Got even perfect stealth, no traces bonus.. and the guy got to come with me as a reward :)

I've just picked up mgsv again and been trying to get S rank on some missions. After a few failed attempts using looted claymore mines I just independently figured out this method. It was the most satisfying gaming experience I've had in years.

The direction the tanks are going towards theres a small camp there u will find a tank parked. give it a shot

just follow the road to the nearest base. on the map you should see resources and thats where the base is. the tanks also drives there and stops for a minute or so

Grade 8 stuff are expensive AF, I think the Serval alone costed about 110k. But generally GMP would be an afterthought once you got into FOB grinding, one successful FOB infiltration for FOBs above lv40 rewards you with about 1.5mil GMP, plus resources, so for most of the time you'll be capped at 30 million easily.
