I think what gives it a sens of urgency is that it is like a continuous shot in a movie where the protagonist has to save someone he deeply cares about using the deadly precision of all his training and has to do it “before the end of the world” with a music soaring in crescendo.

All it makes me think about are those movies that have a bunch of twists and turns that go unnoticed throughout but at the end the main character has that crazy moment of realization where everything clicks into place and certain scenes from earlier are played like flashbacks but the focus is on those details that you missed the first time and it changes everything about the movie. This is totally that kinda track.

Personal Persona I think Phantom Pain was too big for it’s own good. Metal Gear fans love it, whereas casual players enjoyed the gameplay but the story lacked. I think when a franchise has been going since the 1980’s, the story is going to be lost on some people. Honestly, there's something about GZ that makes it more "Metal Gear" than TPP. I find myself going back to it when I grow bored with the structure of TPP. Maybe it's the way Boss drops with finesse like a cat from a high jump, rather than rolling. Maybe it's the subtle differences in CQC, and the gratification of its silky animation. Or even, maybe, it's the consistency of the level design, giving you that old "do it your way" approach. Because, believe it or not, I don't see enough of this in TPP. Sure, I've gotten older, but TPP lacks the tight-knit design of its predecessors, in my opinion. It wants to try to do so many things at once that it feels as if the game has lost its way. GZ is a good reminder of what Metal Gear should feel and play like, regardless of its controversy in terms of overall content. There's much more corridor-styled action here. Metal Gear is deeply rooted in these conventions. Let us never forget that.

I guess in TPP Kojima Prod spend a lot of time on gameplay and base management mechanics that the storytelling and level design was rushed. On TPP one of the best missions for me actually was that one when you have to investigate the parasite breakout on quarentine platform

Supah Bluu actually the fact is that the area of operation is strictly define and you have to go across all of it to finish the game. It allows you to master it completly, which to me makes much more enjoyable to re do the mission to see any possibilities, which is unthinkable in TPP bc the game is too big. Im usually not the kind of person that do thé same mission over and over and i get bored quickly but i believe i have completly got my 9$ back from that game

But with this and Phantom Pain there was a attention to detail and lighting that survive lacks. Plus the facial features sucked compared to the former.

I love how in this Game a Headshot is a fckng headshot, regardless of distance. I HATED it how in Hitman 1-2 you can get a face shot from 25meters away (using silverballer+silencer), and the target just shakes it off.. Umm. Thats Not how bullets work.

I just want to say thanks for making this video. A few months ago it made its way into my recommendations (I don't even watch gaming videos on KZbin) and I was hooked. Not only was the gameplay amazing, but I liked the fact that the game was shedding light on US black sites and inhumane torture. Went to check out the game on the ps store and to my surprise it was £8 for the full version. I have been putting a few hours in every week into the game, I'm not even much of a gamer, and I'm almost finished with the story. I've absolutely loved it and just wanted to let you know. I don't have much time to play, so I'll never be this good, but choosing a random mission and listening to elegia while kicking guards asses is a joy.
