@@Raisera its not anymore. I've seen some counter lance speed runs that are just amazing now in sunbreak. Much respect to the poster btw. I'm just not a spiral thrust guy.

@@alaminassad7231 So I have heard, yes. Seems like Anchor Rage is a viable choice. My PB for Espinas is roughly as good as the poster's run now, but that doesn't really count since we have Qurious Armor Crafting now.

Welcome to the Lance club! I just used the shield charge (ZR+X+A), with enough Guard levels, you can block weak attacks and go through them, like these fireballs!

I mean to be fair, the first time you take him on you don’t have the best equipment and even then Espinas is a pretty tanky monster by design so 20 minutes honestly isn’t bad at all.

It's a sidequest from Bahari, he gives you a 5* quest with Gore,Espinas and Lunagaron, just clear it and you'll get the Azure layered directly in your box !

@@wits_end. It's not anchor rage, it's "Spiral thrust", when you press the buttons (ZL+A) you have a small window of time when if an attack hits you, you get the blue aura that buffs your attack. You can choose the direction you aim, then you can go towards another direction, and you can do a final thrust with X

Sure, it's because of the dereliction skill, if I use the red scroll, my elemental attack rises, if I use the blue scroll, my raw rises, so that's why I switched, cause I think it's better for this lance

Espinas vs lance is actually decent as you can counter every attack comfortably even with reduced knowledge of the fight. It's fights like this and garongolm where monsters televise attacks and don't do too much flailing about that make them not so bad. Don't ask me to lance vs bazuelguese though.
