This is perhaps the best kiteloop tutorial out there and I've watched them all. I would just think the video should be separated in two parts: the first half about kiteloops and the other about the variations, starting with the late backroll

Wow, very useful vid man! maybe it is also useful to have a vid for people who need to get familiar with looping the kite before jumping. You can practice during surface transition for example or in first in small jumps 1 meter high in a underpowered session.

Great Video explained in detail. Marian, about the downloop for reducing the force on landing... do we use the front -opposite hand than the one for the kiteloop or we can still use the same hand-direction as for the kiteloop. What defines which hand to use for the landing heli-or downloop??
@MarianHund3 жыл бұрын
actually you can use which side you want. It highly depends on how you steered your kite while being in the air. So there is always one side which fits bettter to your current kite position. once you get a feeling for those landingloops you really dont have to worry about which side to pull.
@TheDadoweth Жыл бұрын
Nice tutorial. I have one question: is a kite loop take off different than a "normal" high jump? Is it really more like a high transition jump, but now you loop the kite at the top?
@krasavintablet3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the video and especially for the tip about how to pop from water! Can I ask you why do you prefer Evo for looping and not Dice? Thanks!
@MarianHund3 жыл бұрын
Actually I prefer the dice, but this Evo was something special 😉
@krasavintablet3 жыл бұрын
@@MarianHund is in your opinion both Evo 8m and Dice 9m are good to learn proper kiteloops, and both will work fine for it? I was riding dice 9m with 24m lines and it was hard to make it catch me. Maybe 22m lines makes a big difference? Or do I need to change to Evo 8m? Or is it just correct pop from water as you explained? Thank you!
@MarianHund3 жыл бұрын
Definitely go for the shorter lines, no question. Everything below 10qm is developed on 22m and these 2m make a big difference. U can take both, no problem. For real radical loops the dice is probably better 🤙🏼 The pop is the most important thing and has a huge influence on whether the kite catches u or not
@krasavintablet3 жыл бұрын
@@MarianHund thank you! I've ordered Dice 9m 2021 and 22m lines and thus cannot change it to Evo anymore 😂 Hope I will learn how to loop it, with the help of your video 😀

Amazing video. Would love to hear a little more about the differences between regular loops and mega loops and how to fine tune your loops to slowly make them loop lower
@MarianHund3 жыл бұрын
thank you! Once you are in the looping game , you will get a feeling for the fine tuning . There are quite a few aspects 🤟🏻 Megaloop is just an insanely high kiteloop but I have no idea what’s the objective criteria 😅

Thank you very much for the Video! Are you using 24 Meter Lines?

Hi Marian, great video, I have a question regarding the kiteloop late backroll. This late backroll, can u practice it without a loop , just jump and on landing try to do a backroll? In my opinion the frontroll kiteloop is easier to learn cause of the low height u can start. Thx keep up your great videos 🤙👍
@MarianHund3 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate! As I said in the video, the rotation is not the problem. You just have to do it. For sure u can do some without a loop but with the loop it’s much easier. Yesss Frontroll is easier in that case 🤙🏼 enjoy and ride safe!
@ktkktlzubi3 жыл бұрын

Marian few questions: When u do boogie loop - u keep both hands on the bar right? I was doing higher frontroll kiteloops (3-5meters) and noticed that i usually come out with one hand on the bar... Not sure this is good. Another thing is - any tips how to come out of it stable as possible and make kite catch you well? (It hasnt happened so far but i fear i might come out unstable or rotating...) Any tips will be priceless.
@giu.kitesurf Жыл бұрын
hey bro, how is it now? got it?
@Kitehomiez Жыл бұрын
@@giu.kitesurf yeah two hands on the bar are better as you have more control - one pushing one pulling to make loop as tight as possible, also for me personally looking at the kite was a gamechanger. If i can see it then its more of a upside down kiteloop and i can always make sure it completes and avoid baddest crashes

I am getting some huge loops on the 9M dice. This is a very powerful kite. Occasionally I will hit a gust after committing to the loop. I am coming in for a nasty landing. Any tips for this situation?

Try to use the kite as a parachute and fly it far behind You in order to reduce speed
@Andyg2g2 жыл бұрын
At 11:36 it looks like a white handkerchief or reserve parachute is thrown…I’m almost certainly wrong though. Does anyone know what that is/was?
@truekejner3 жыл бұрын
a good idea would be to explain the difference between a kiteloop and a megaloop because most people don't understand it and it's quite frustrating to hear it being confused and overused in videos and even KotA streams ALL THE TIME. even riders don't care about it anymore and name every tiny loop a MEGALOOP which IMO makes a huuuuuuuuugggeeee difference in KotA scoring... if people start simply naming tricks like "MEGALOOP frontroll" or "KITELOOP boardoff" then this would make justice to proper bangers and elevate the big-air scene to a whole new level. Some day it will be obvious to everybody or at least I hope it will happen.
@truekejner3 жыл бұрын
btw. the video is cool. I would put more footage and voice-over in order to let the people see more examples and analyze specific parts of a trick at the exact time you're explaining it.

Hey Marion, sehr sehr cooles Video.

@MarianHund3 жыл бұрын

@MarianHund3 жыл бұрын
