There is no method which enables to get an Charmlock for 100%: Only possibility is to save very quickly and hope that your final RN isnt above your target, otherwise you'll have to do a whole round again (5400RN). Chance to get a charmlock is about 50% as far as I know.

I've been one off from my target charm about 15 times. example (target is 3959, gotten 3958 and 3960 multiple times. and of course really far off numbers in between but i've been close a lot. can i not get another creator charm once i've gotten another i want or is it just really bad luck? been at this snipe for over 14 hours i believe (not straight).

Isaac Horstmeyer Youre not the first person who made that experience, with always being one off target. Im not sure about the theory, that sometimes specific numbers are locked out, so that they will be skipped automatically. One of our memebers tried to snipe for Focus 5 oo long time ago. He was trying for about 30 hours, but never got his charm like you, until he got a new charmlock.

There is one on the gamefaqs website but just in watching this video I notice some differences and you guys have a good reputation so I"m wondering what your specific directions are.

Hi there, I have a question in regards to the timings for getting the charm you want. I have charm table 7 and I want to get a Constitution +5 Evasion +3 talisman, sadly, no charms in front of it can be used to help get it. With that, I am having trouble figuring out how you are supposed to figure out how many RN occur every second, and is it in seconds or minutes, as in the text file it says that it's 500RN per second, but when you divide 4403/500, you say that you get 8.8 minutes.

it is 500RN per minute. But thats just a rough time value. The "fine tuning " has to be done by yourself. You'll figure out when you have to die after youve tried a few times. I always notice every run with time of death and RN to find to that out ^^

Exactly. Theres no need to mine more Charms if your Charm only can be hit directly.

It isnt that bad. Sometimes the effects of other felyne skills are just annoying. So its no duty to have a one skill cocking lock, just a nice to have.

Thank you for this guide. Frankly speaking, I hadn't an idea about such a programming :-). I am playing solo for 600 hours now and need in some charms to make hunting easier. I read the whole description about charm sniping, but I still have some questions. First - is it necessary to discard all bones, ores and other staff while farming charms on Misty Peaks? Can they affect the RN? Second - if I mine enduring charm, which is 7 points before target, will the second charm be exactly which I need, or these damned RN jumps can occur here as well? And third, is charm sniping more effective and fast, than the charm chaser technic?

thank you for making this wonderful tutorial. i have some questions because i'm a little confused here. 1. from the moment you start your game you waited 50 seconds before you go to tanza to eat and start the quest right? or did you wait for 50 seconds and saved the game before eating and taking the quest? 2. 1:40 seconds on your first death means that the time started at the moga village? or in the quests itself? 3. how are you able to determine the right or exact time on the third death? 4. is 1st death really important? or it doesnt matter as long as you know the timing of your third death? thank you and hoping for the answers. your tutorial really helps alot! just needed some enlightenment here ehehe! sorry for my english

I was waiting until my clock has reached 50s, so that every run is exactly the same. Because sometimes you are a bit faster or slower, so its just a checkpoint like the first death at 1.40. The best time for your third you have to find out by yourself. If youre near enough you only have to wait a few seconds. You can find out your RN by looking at you recent runs or calculate with +7RN per second. If you have to wait more than a minute, I recommend to stay a few seconds in the village and save again, because the longer you wait the more imprecise is your result. Hope all questions are answered ^^

Your method to Increase RN is to stand still at moga village, but what I'm using is stand still at moga woods. My question is there a difference between your method and mine? Thats the reason why Charm Sniping is still difficult. There is no possibility to avoid these RN jumps. I have to mention that the charm I sniped in the video was located very good and I also had some luck that I only needed 7 tries to get it.

Sometimes even with Timeworn charms I get +4 RNG, when it's one skill. I've noticed this a few times but the text says always +7, which doesn't seem to be true.

Theres no possibility you can set the RN to 0. You have to find out where you are and wait until you are near to your target. One cycle (RN0-RN5400) lasts for about 10 min.

Ich hab ne Frage, ich bin jetzt bei ~4930 RN, nach jedem Versuch hab ich so 5120-5190 RN, Ziel ist 5183 RN (Handwerk +4, Schärfer -3 O O O). Das beste was ich je gehabt habe waren 5185 RN (hab mich geärgert... so close). Was ich jetzt mache ist, ich nehme die selben Zeiten wie immer (1:00 Quest Start, 1:55, 2:25, 3:12 Tode) mit vllt mal einer Sekunde drauf bei einem Tod, weil meine Hauptergebnisse liegen bei 5120-5170. Mache ich alles richtig? Ich habe nämlich nen Charmlock und möchte nicht nochmal speichern. Gibt´s noch irgendwelche Tipps die du mir geben kannst? Garuga

Handwerk 4 ooo ist der schwierigste Charm den snipen kann, weil man den direkt treffen muss. D.h. du musst mit deinem Charmlock eigentlich immer nur einen Charm bekommen bzw Hand 4 ooo kann nur der erste Charm in der Belohnung sein. Wenn du das beachtet hast solltest du eig alles richtig machen.

Jo hab ich, ich guck auch den zweiten Charm an (bei meinem Charmlock krieg ich 2 vom Knochensammeln und keine beim erzen), nur um sicherzugehen, dass die RN vom ersten Charm richtig nachgesucht wurde. Also ich muss nur noch so lange versuchen bis ich ihn hab. Bin bei 35 Versuchen :D. Danke, guter Guide btw, auch eure anderen Videos sind echt nice. Der 9-hit-Savage Jho war cool :D Anregung für das nächste Video; holt euch Felyne Unglückskatze, damit eure Ausdauer so niedrig wie möglich ist, dann macht die Super Brachy Eventquest und raged ihn dauerhaft (ihr kennt ihn ja ;D). Versucht mit fast keiner Ausdauer und so wenig def wie möglich (Keine Rüstung, damit er euch killt wenn ihr es nicht schafft :D) allem auszuweichen was er macht 10 min lang und ihn dann in den nächsten 10 min zu killen. Ich frage mich ob ihr das schafft :D Weiß nicht ob es überhaupt möglich ist den in 10 min zu killen aber ihr habt schon fast alles geschafft :D

never mind, after another about 3-5 hours i finally got it. i'll never do it again, it's a pain in the ass to see how often you get soooo close and to see some charms 5-10 times in the process but not that fu***ng shit you are looking for. so many 903s or 906s or 899s, 902s but not enough charms mined to get teh jump to 910. i think if I EVER would again do this i'll switch out bombardier for charmer to hit more charms... thanks for the tutorial anyways..

Guess you have to discard all not enduring charms in the G-rank snipe too because i got diferent rngs in the end with a full enduring and a not full enduring charms run. Nice video i'll try to snipe again later.

+Jonas Brandstetter die RN schwankt unabhängig vom Charmlock. Das Einzige was der Lock bringt, ist dass man konstant seine drei (oder auch mehr) Amulette bekommt. Ob man den Lock nun unbedingt braucht hängt vom Charm ab bzw wo er liegt und wie leicht/schwer der Charm zu bekommen ist.

Mir ist etwas komisches aufgefallen: Als ich auf RN4883 gelandet bin, war der zweite Tali - trotz einem Skill beim Ersten - sieben RN weiter und nicht vier. Unten seht ihr das Beispiel. Die Liste müsste eigentlich stimmen. You could also choose another Quest, but not when you've already begun, because every Quest adds more or less RN to your final number. The Zinogre Quest is recommended because, the Zinogre doesn't change the area as often as the Azure Rathalos for example.

I dont know what you mean with "using the enduring charm". Do you mean the number of charms you get? How many charms you need to lock or something else?

Hey liebes Team Darkside Ich bin alles so nachgegangen wie im Video doch ich versteh nicht ab wann die Uhr tickt und ob die Uhr im ladescreen weiter tickt und wenn ich zum Hafen zurück komm bis ich beendet hab gehen auch 1-3 sek verloren und das find ich ein bisschen unübersichtlich und wann diese zu Ende ist denn zb man weiß das die Uhr tickt sobald man den char ausgewählt hat geh ich von aus und bis ich gegessen hab und der Quest gejoint bin vergeht Zeit aber wie ihr schon sagt man muss die zeit rausfinden und stoppen ja hab ich gemacht doch wenn jede Sekunde 7RN sind kann ich jetzt aus dem Tutorial was super erklärt ist (kein Thema) aber das mit der Zeit ist ein bisschen unklar ...
