The beauty about these runs is that the HBG sets aren't even difficult to make. Hell, my set is the same as this one but with Divine Blessing as well.

Same lol but Divine blessing is useless since you need max hp plus it will be a bad run getting hurt anyways, and on the other hand the LBG set is hard to make without the right talisman that also inst efficient with the ammo

It wouldn't work well - its flying ability makes it too difficult to target well. But with Rajang, the speedrunners literally have this down to a science. You just need to have the right setup on everyone, and everyone needs to be in sync.

How did you not break the apex too soon? Whenever I go on a lobby with random people, Rajang gets out of Apex in 10 seconds or so, and, as a LBG, I get no rest so I need to be really fast with the combines and be careful enough not to whiff the status shots. I'm okay with that, but I'm just curious how can you delay the Apex mode so long?

Just a couple questions, since i'm starting to get into this. You mentioned what skills for armors your using, but you showed food skills TEMPER + WEAKENER both of which would influence the power of your shots, and the life of the monster. is this necessary? I read that 2 monsters halves the life of either, yet when we went from S . Zinogre to Rajang, the Rajang DIDNT die..... So. is there a specific food we should be going for? And is there a downside from going with sleep first for bombing? does 1 Rajang have less life than a Rajang+(monster) ?

12463trf In a normal farming situation with random hunters then I would just advise to eat for pyro to save on the combines - you should always use LBB+ against the sleeping monsters if you can. Weakener works in mysterious ways and I'm not even sure that it works at all if you're not the quest host. In the ~600 runs I've done, or however many it is (I've honestly lost count) it's never made a discernible difference. Temper is kinda nice to eat for if you're willing to use your scatterfish to combine LBB+ though, as it's a 5% boost to shot damage. It's not like the damage is meaningless but it is still pretty small. Neither temper nor weakener are essential though. It's not half life for dual monster quests - I believe it's somewhere closer to 66%. Otherwise single monster quests would be almost entirely pointless. I would ask the strategy being employed by the status gunner and the skills on each HBG set before I can determine where something is going awry, but clearly not enough damage is being done. Whose fault this is is yet to be determined. Sleeping the monster first is really just a simple way to allow everyone to get into place. It tends to take a lot of time when random hunters are involved though, for whatever reason. Bombs are used because they're simple, cheap, and large amount of virtually immediate damage. There's really no reason not to use them if something is asleep. Yes, 1 Rajang will have less life than two monsters if you add their total life together (even if that other thing is a Velocidrome, as far as I know). The rewards are also half as much though, and this is why people spam dual monster quests like Stygian/Rajang. Fun fact: according to the dex, the only difference in non-monster part reward drops for Stygian and Rajang is the guaranteed one that you get for completing the quest. Stygian has a 25% chance to drop any simgle champions/beshackled item (4 different ones make 100% total) where as Rajang will always drop a double beshackled item of some sort (be it weapon or armour). They have it listed that the 3rd and 4th row rewards have identical drop rates for both monsters, so if someone turns around and tries to tell you that double Rajang is the optimal quest then you can tell them to go and shove it up their arse. The rewards are slightly better, true, but that's only a single guaranteed drop. It's not accounting for the fact that you have to wait for your wystones to recharge between each Rajang, which just wastes another 2 minutes (as soon as they've worn off). Thus, the best way to farm for relics is to do a quest with 1xRajang and something else that can be pierced effectively, won't go apex, and has a quest drop rate at least similar to Rajang. Brachydios and Stygian just happen to be the best candidates for this.

after around 100 runs of my styg / raj. I have gotten 0 beshackled (rnk 8+) CBs Someone stated Styg controls what drops (skins) and since Styg has no possible skins for Charge blade, none will drop. I have since gotten the hang of HBG, and LBG roles in the Hame runs from when I had posted that. and would like to thank you on your advice! My current issue atm is leveling up my gqs to 140... since no one wants to do it with me :P also: Since Raj gives a lot of points, is easy to do 2x if everyone pops drive asap, I hunted down / traded gqs to get 6 different bias (all weapons, and all armor types) and all of them are 2x raj.

12463trf Yes, that is correct about the skins. If you get a good quest with the Rajang/Stygian in reverse to what you have it will drop charge blades though. I happen to have one with Rajang/Stygian but for bow/bowgun. It also has great spawns, so it's good for farming dragon bows. But yes, in that instance a double Rajang is a good option. Brachy/Rajang is still better, however, as even though you can pop your wystone early the element is the most important one to get things locked down. Without that in play you're likely going to get completely fucked over by the Rajang. So you still need to wait for things to respawn, and in the time it takes it works out that you'd just be better off going for a quest with only a single apex monster.

I've LBG'd a double raj, luckily they didn't spawn together, but there was no waiting for me, It almost went poor cause the HBG popped theirs not at the start. but that's a good thing to keep in mind, I'll keep an eye out for brach/raj. I think I have one... but I never checked to see if it was cb...... and that I was told a couple times that brach needs a KO (from isle of god) to work out

If you're using the god's archipelago to status, then yes, a KO is needed to make the pitfall trap last long enough for the Brachy to be captured. But some friends of mine developed a method of doing status on Brachy with the Felyne Heavendoll instead. It's relatively similar to what I would do except they add another sleep onto the end and I don't think that they bother capturing it.

Also ich hab eine 2 Rajang Quest erst auf 134, probiere aber sie noch hoch zu arbeiten. Das Problem ist das die manchmal im selben Gebiet sind. Oder kaum ist ein Rajang weg, spawnt ein Zinogre, Rex oder ein Jho... Ist sehr sehr hart 😢💩 GEILER SPEEDRUN 🙌👌

John Legendd Perhaps they were in previous videos of theirs, but in this Michi went out of his way to prove that they are not necessary for a good time. Notice that the attack up skill they had on their sets were only medium? Extra large is attainable through 20 different talismans, and Rias' set has a total of 54 possible charms. I counted both the totals from a quick search using Athena's A.S.S. I can assure you, powersaved charms or not, these sets are nothing special. I also doubt that them using perfect talismans would improve the time much more than maybe 2-3 seconds... People would just continue to bitch that TDS had used OP talismans when they fail to realise that the difference is literally only 10 true raw. It's really not going to make a massive difference in the end - optimisation is just something that they've always strived for, so they probably did it in the hopes that the kickback wouldn't be so... annoyingly petty.
