He didn't lower his hp just for flexing. He's using a kitchen skill called felyne heroics, which is activated when your health is really low. The skill increases your attack really high, ~50% iirc

It happens to me with gunlance too, you can do the thrust attack to hit him when when he's doing the shock as long as you don't get hit by the first second of it, it may be a glitch idk

@@bowserfriend You can still get hit by it so it's not like the animation is just longer than the hit frame itself, what happens for me is I block the first second and I can thrust in and hit him without getting hit back, it might be cause the hitbox is like a wall instead of one solid thing so if I can get into that wall I can just get a few hits in

@@Joe_Mama.also_YTHandlessuckass oh i misunderstood yeah if you block it the attack gets "eaten" by the shield hence you can just attack it now, happens with teostra in world too with his grounded flamethrower attack where he sprays it left and right, i guess the game just sets a flag that turns off the attack from touching you ever again if you block them, and they fixed it in rise in a way that just makes his flamethrower attack hit twice one at the start and one near the end

Barrel Bombs work like Sonic Bombs (similar with what happened in Plessy). Diablos is actually just right below the surface, pretty shallow and not deep. Diablos went underground as the rage mode about to fade out so Sonics can work on it again. As to not being hit by the barrel bomb, it's all thanks to the Evade+2
