Run me through the logic here? I see how overcapping your affinity gets you more damage before the stomach break, but what makes shot booster less dps?

Overcapping allows the pierce ticks that are not hitting a weak spot to have an 80% chance of critting instead of 50%. The chest breaks at the same time regardless if I am using a repeat offender set or weakness exploit set. Sub 1' can be achieved with the standard weakness exploit set but overcapping seems to be more consistent against Basarios. No shot booster is an inside joke.
