Trance Slash is one of those moves where you NEED TO STOP AIMING FOR THE HEAD. AIM FOR CENTER MASS AND YOU'LL ACTUALLY LAND THE FINISHER MORE OFTEN.

Play Village quest and then Guild Quest

Use Arial and switch axe. Eat anything that adds health plus mounting. Keep mounting and use trance slash once toppled. Heal well before you need to. Have two palicoes set with healing abilities. The switch axe also seems to be incredibly strong amongst all the starter weapons .

It's kinda funny that Trance Slash was such ass in GU, but when they brought back part of it in Rise (basically the ending spin around explosion) it was actually really useful. Just goes to show that while it might not work in one game, with some tweaking it can work in another one. same with Blast Dash in GU, which is fucking useless as shit, but in Rise as a swap skill is down right awesome and fun to use.

Cool Trance Slash fact, I know they stole all the rise moves from their own game but even the now named Compressed Element Discharge. it's still *not good*. and in this game fuck you're lucky to not get hit trying to make your weapon playable in striker with your two hunter arts, because if you get hit in that startup for demon riot or energy charge, the whole bars gone. yours sincerely 4 am watcher, beware Dreadking capture quest.

lmao the move is very effective it s your positioning the problem 😂😂, you just go on the head of a monster long 5 m when you could have gone on his side and get all the combo in because the wider hitbox and you gain the ectra time from the monster need to face you before attacking. obv it is not the best choice on small monsters but on the hunts you picked you just didn't play to get the combo in, you were too greedy for dmg

Positioning isn't the problem, the problem is it takes too long to finish, the base move is fine it's short enough but the extended edition with both Demon Riot And Tempest Slash takes time, not to mention that the chances of you hitting the damn thing without stumbling or trapping the monster is close to nothing, "oh then maybe you should just mount the monster" Try doing that before both of your Hunter Arts run out, Trapping works but only for a while since the time that the monsters get trapped gets shorter and shorter. You need an Aerial Player to use it effectively lol, also wdym "small monsters" This isn't a Velocidrome, so it only works on "Big monsters" Like Akantor, Ukanlos, Nakarkos, Etc? Bruh
