The Valor Sword and Shield flippy-dippy thingie actually has s and you can use it as a super gap closer because of how spammable it is Pretty much made Adept useless

Instead of guarding, use Round Force. This stuff will keep you immortal. Very easy to charge as well.

SnS Valor seems bad for some people, but when you start putting that backstep barrage + super roundslash into action you can do a lot of crazy combos. I'll never forget the dude bonking Rathian's head using a pan with those backstep combos. lol

@@simonboudreaux6360 Yw man. That's really good for not only attacking but positioning yourself. When you realize you're about to be attacked, you can literally choose which side to backstep. If the backstep isn't enough to get away, you can still use roundslash to go further. I tested it with Quick Sheath skill to use Valor Sheath jump slash faster and it made the gameplay much more satisfying. haha

people just don't realize how crazy OP SnS is past 4U... in 4U you can combo anything into anything in GU you have oils and crazy weapon arts in World you have perfect rush which deals shit ton of damage and can tenderize parts in Rise you have 40 backhop, Shoryuken as a counter and a built in insta counter that can combo into perfect rush

I really like SnS. It is my 1st choice when I need to fight with big monster that I have never seen before. Although it doesn't deal an insane amount of damage like Great Sword, Long Sword, Charge Blade. It doesn't deal continuous damage and fast as fuk like Dual Blades, or bug stick. It is not good at defend like Lance, Gunlance, Charge Blade either. But it is the most stable one. The most balance between attack, defend, and mobility. Highly recommend for MonHun starters.

Adept SnS is a complete waste of development time. Like, if the whole style is just about dodge counters, why would I ever use a weapon where the MV's on the counter move are absolute dogwater? It's not like SnS gets more opportunities to counter compared to other weapons.

mount damage, also to keep up with some bonkers hitboxes and monsters that are fast af. also cuz it seems fun. sns was not about damage its about speed. and dodging attacks helps keep momentum going.

@@_Tzer SnS is about damage uptime. You need to be able to constantly attack because otherwise you don't deal enough damage. That's what makes Adept SnS so bad: You sacrifice combos for a counter move that is arguably worse dps than just attacking normally. Mount damage isn't much of a selling point. SnS isn't starved for mounting opportunities by default since you get special mounting attacks when scaling ledges, and if you really want to spam them, there's always arial.

@@darthplagueis13 so basically deeps deeps deeps. i play gs alchemy mostly so deeps isnt my main thing. damage per hit. but also i prefer consistently beating hunts over dying multiple times cuz heroics as an example.

@@_Tzer GS doesn't need to worry about uptime because it has powerful enough hits to compensate. But with SnS, you can't just hit and run, unless you want every G-Rank hunt to take 40 minutes. You gotta stick to the monster like glue.

@@darthplagueis13 40 minutes sounds like fun. also roar adepting any build that needs earplugs you dont need em in adept sure you can block but if you are fighting bloodbath. Sns is known for not being the best at blocking. Also its got a neat backstep adept evade that does a lotta damage.
