Always great videos, tips and topics...be even better if post practice guys werent always practicing shots, hitting posts, crossbar etc with loud echoing sounds right when you're making great talking points...but the ice is free, so cant complain, just have to rewind and listen closer sometimes.

Great Video. I have a question for you, can you one time of your wrong side ie a lefty playing left wing? All the examples I see are of a righty on the left wing (Ovi for example) or lefty on the right wing. Thanks

Last part about shortening the windup is paramount! The harder the pass is coming, the shorter the windup and most of your power is coming from your hip rotation, wrists and follow through anyways. Good way to practice slap shots in general is learning to generate power with almost no windup at all, only cocking the stick back to where it's parallel to the ice surface.

Agree, when I started learning clappers there was only a very minor difference between a full wind up and starting parallel to the ice. As an added benefit of better precision (if a beginniner) is that you are allowed to do shots in practice and game sessions with the stick parallel to the ice (as opposed to doing full clappers).
