God man . . . This stuff is priceless . . . I'd add a Trask Turbo to this set-up with correct turbo cam to help this fantastic engine build get irs air instead of the usual gasping for air as most n/a engines are subject to doing . . . Once again . . . Hat's off to Moonshine Harley for such a complete performance harley dealer 💪💪

Hi. Can I ask for your advice on my 2019 road king. I had to upgrade the engine to 117 stage 3 with V&S headers, KW exhaust and Fuel pack tune. The bike has annoying ticking noise (valve noise??) and numbing fine vibration that causes me to loos sensation in my feet. the biggest issue is that with the RPM less than 3 it feels and sounds like I have maxed out on the gear and need to shift ... I basically have to shift quickly to 5th gear and stay below 70 MPH to avoid the vibration and the noise. Would you happen to know what is going wrong here? Is it normal to have these issues with the upgrade? please help I don't and can't enjoy my bike anymore

The domed piston is also dished. Is there a reason you went with a dished surface? What is the static compression ratio on this build? H-beam rods are the shit. You guys are pushing the envelope and I love it!
@MoonshineHarley2 жыл бұрын
Helps with cam overlap in the higher RPM range. Static compression is 12:1 and corrected is 10.7:1 which is around 230 cold cranking compression.
@brakinggnus52292 жыл бұрын
@@MoonshineHarley so it allows you to run more overlap because it contains the flame front for a more efficient burn?

Are you guys running more s&s or fueling cam plates/pumps on these monster builds?
@MoonshineHarley2 жыл бұрын
Our number 1 pump is the new H-D SE Pump. We modify it to clear the larger cams we use. The S&S pump would be our Secound most utilized pump.
@MrCRM20112 жыл бұрын
Amazing power but what do you guys do to keep those monster from being so hot in everyday riding. Such as interstate traffic that really slows down or stops.
@MoonshineHarley2 жыл бұрын
Oil Cooler Fan. The bore is 4.375” so it’s only 0.065” larger than a H-D 131 setup so the heat it relatively similar.

@@MoonshineHarley I have a RGS which is my first HD. I had a M109 BOSS, actually 3 M109 since 2009. So I’m use to that immediately throttle response and no heat lol. I’m still in warranty until next June but I’ve change my mufflers to Krome Werks and I have a Scream Eagle tune. I’ve noticed the change from stock. I guess what I’m saying I would like to step her up. What’s your recommendations and possible price range. I currently have 5500 miles on the bike. That’s a story for another day.

How does this build handle heat? Any issues if you're involved in long hauls or in a low-speed group ride?
@MoonshineHarley2 жыл бұрын
Great. That’s what we designed it for. You’ll get 260-310 miles per tank, Hwy.
@imac19791 Жыл бұрын
@@MoonshineHarley I have a hard time with this reply. Regular Harley’s don’t get that mileage to a tank. So how does a engine with larger displacement get better gas mileage. That can’t be true…

Just my opinion but moonshine needs to take better care of problems on customers bikes that they built. You cant build them and forget them that is bad business, and your reply is always about money, it would be better if you actually talked problem instead you appear to not care no more after your paid. Sorry to say but im not the first nor will i be the last according to what i am hearing.

Thanks for the feedback. Have you called the store and spoken to Jamie or Mike about your situation? If not I would advise you to call one of them at the shop so they can get involved to help. You can also email them at horsepower@moonshineharley.com

so many of these shops take out the inferior HD OEM parts etc and insert aftermarket which it make it lighter, faster, better, then you ask yourself why how come HD who have been doing this for over 100 years why can't they make a bike right out of the factory why does a customer have to pay another 6-10k in upgrades what should have been std from factory.....Triumph!!!
