Yeah I needed a little break >.< I used to use FRAPS, but it's not very good in retrospect, now I use NVIDIA's Overlay/Shadowplay to record. It works pretty well. A good alternative if you can't use that is OBS.

Something i ended up doing regarding capture is flashing. they usually then idle for enough time to place traps. utilising traps when a monster is hungry (such as the clip her head breaks on the gargwa) will increase their effective timer. as for ls..... i only pull it out to make things that annoy me go away, i'd like the entire fucking gauge system, to go away, that r finisher is easily without a doubt the worst thing they've ever done to the LS. all of my hunts were worse, both of time and play trying to get that fucking red gauge. and in 4u well I sure don't think they fkn changed it LOL. for plate wanters, there's a triple rathian quest alongside you capturing and cutting off a rathian tail.

For these videos I use a pretty minimal item loadout, *just in case.* I try and keep things really simple, if I can, but that's really good advice! 😄 tbh I don't even consider that for my own play haha, though I don't use flash bombs a whole lot either, I really should. And yeaah lol, honestly. 4u added the Foresight slash spirit combo starter to skip the first attack in the spirit combo which *does* help, quite a bit (but they also made the spirit level go to 0 after the timer runs out which is pretty oof), but IMO the leveling system never really made much sense until 5th gen, with World, and then Rise took it and introduced a lot of really cool ideas, but I'm looking forward to how it looks in Wilds as well. 2nd gen LS was in a surprisingly great spot for what it was. Also, good tip on the 3 Rathian hunt. It may seem daunting, but since it's a multi monster quest (in the village too!) they'll have less HP per monster. Not sure if having less HP would affect the tail cut/head break, but yeah, it should at least improve the odds if someone wants a plate before high rank. It's in 5 star village which is after this current tier though, if anyone else is reading this lol

I'm not sure if pressing the face buttons does anything, I know I used to do that, but for this video I was just spinning the analog stick, yep! I was spinning like crazy apparently because normally I always get nibbled on twice, but this time it was just once 😎

np, this also works while being stunned, snow/mud covered, and even put to sleep, though waking up faster this way is a lot less noticable than stun/snow/mud, and I only tested that in MHFU.

i find the wind pressure complaints pretty weird since ls kind of ignores it while slashing the hit lag thing though is something i learned from here just now and explains why i can't ls smoothly in this game wao

You're not always attacking, you don't always want to be attacking. Repositioning is an active action which supersedes attacking. Repositioning is extremely important, and, specifically, what moves Rathian does that has Wind Pressure is extremely inconsistent.

I see a player trying to keep themselves sane. If I see a player who keeps dying and says that this game is fun, either he's gone insane or a masochist. I'm the latter😂 Anyways, I am not much of a fan of 3rd gen longsword, 2nd gen is much easier to get into. It's much more matchup dependant than before, due to its changes (its motion values has been nerfed, and when I compare them the spirit buff isn't that worth it in exchange for all the work, in my opinion.)

lol yeah, don't get me wrong, challenge is good, it CAN add depth and longevity and make things funner in the long run, something to eventually work towards and achieve, sure, but sometimes it's just like I'm beating my head against a wall, like, I'm doing everything that I can, and I'm STILL getting shit on. That's how I feel about Primal Malzeno, I did his fight so many damn times and I never felt like I was getting any better, same with Fatalis and Alatreon in world. It sucks, I don't get that feeling of chipping away at something, it just feels insurmountable. Also yeah, 2nd gen LS is one of my favorite versions of the weapon, by far, even considering the additions in 3rd and 4th gen. World brought things back around FINALLY and made the weapon make sense, but 3rd and 4th gen (not including GU tbh) just don't make any sense, they just nerfed the weapon without giving us anything in return, honestly. 2nd gen LS is a reliable weapon that just works. 3rd gen LS (p3rd at least) is a weapon where you need more luck than you should in order to make it work, and 4th gen... well, they made it easier to level up, sure, and that's great, but since you reset to 0 after the timer runs out, the levels mean less than they used to 😭 so it's like???? Like, it still works, and I like 4th gen more than 3rd, but MAN. 4u LS made me main GS (and later CB), and that carried into world, so at least there's that lol

Yeaah true, but 4th gen DID give us the ability to skip the first step of spirit combo from a fade slash, which is pretty huge all things considered. But playing 4u made me main Greatsword... (and Charge Blade later on) that's how bad it was lmao 😅😅 I'm almost grateful for it though, I went into MHWorld using GS and it's so good there. I also liked CB in World too 🙂

yeah lmao, they even added some sort of sour spot to that attack, I'm not sure if it's being hit by the end of the attack or if I'm hit by the hitbox of her legs or what, but sometimes you can get hit for super low damage, which is much preferable to the full amount.

Thank God the Raths don't really have as potent wind pressure in recent games. I've always felt it was one of the cheapest and worst mechanics in the series, and one of the sole contributing factors for why gen 4 Rathalos could be very bullshit. Who the hell enjoys trying to play around invisible hitboxes?

Not only is Silver faster and stronger than usual because of course, he almost never lands without being flashed, and if you play greatsword like me, you have no choice but to attempt to snipe his wings when he does the gap closer before an attack. 1. Movement is binary, you're either moving or your not, so... yeah, I'll either be waiting or running around 2. Because Rathian sucks and there's not often something you can do. 3. In Monster Hunter, in general, sometimes standing still is the best thing you can do. 4. If you try and attack all the time, you're just going to get hit.
