My first "speedrun" on Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak. I choose Valstrax because... it was the monster I was least good at. I took the opportunity to learn a thing or two. There is a LOT of room for improvement. For example I made a mistake that made me lose at least ten seconds and in general it would have been better to use Protective Polish instead of Razor Sharp, but at the moment this is the set I can do with the charms I have. I guess the sub 5'30 or even sub 5'00 in TA is far from impossible, but for the time being I'm happy with this one.

unrelated question, do you know what those blue crit effects are? i get them sometimes too, idk what they are.

They are specifically damage from wire bug moves, or aerial moves. They add to the damage needed to ride the monster.

Excellent run! So I assume you avoided doing ZSDs because Valstrax doesn't really allow for those easily?

Yeah ZSD it is very risky against this monster. Also the counter does very good damage, so i prefer to use a "grounded" playstyle this time

how do you deal with double wingstab at 2:20? the first hit is no problem but the 2nd hit is too fast to react to. if you pre-emptively roll to avoid the 2nd stab, he can mixup and use wing spin instead which hits you if you tried to roll for the 2nd stab. also the 2nd hit comes out so fast that i dont think HBG can recover from its roll in time to do anything about it.

If he moves/walks to another location before wing stab, he will do the wing spin instead.

Is the best and the worst at the same time for TA Rules. Is the best, because he will spawn often under the second camp. Is the worst because the fishe in the sea who can damage the monster are banned from the rules. I failed many runs because of this.

4:40 does someone know how to dodge this claw>wing>claw>wing attack without evade extender? I try rolling away but still hits. This didn't happen in high rank it had way less tracking

I don't think its changed at all,also you can literally walk even in sword mode(one of slowest walks in the game) and all the wing stabs will miss. You can watch my run,i do it alot,if it helps
