【MHRise】Advanced: Those Crowned Apex TA Rules LBG ¤

This quest is a lot of fun and I feel like this is a quest where Normal 3 ammo can really shine well in a TA setting otherwise slice and sticky based sets just demolish this....
Sum of best fights shows it can be done in mid 11 range but its hard to get Mizu and Zinogre to always have best ai

Likewise. I'd written off Normal personally and coupled with a certain guru stating to ignore it, but this run makes me pleased for my Normal 2, WE1 and a 1, 1, 0 talisman!

Fantastic run, Mai! It's great to see a quest where Normal gets to really shine. Also, that head tracking on Zin at 10:03 was smooth af. 😳

I feel like n3 does really good here and I was literally doing this quest and having minimal experience with each monster. Then ofc add the fact of using n3 and it was like playing a completely different game. N3 can definitely do mid 11 on this quest which seems nutty to me.

@@mailbg9704 It's definitely a really impressive time for Normal. It makes sense though considering that Spread really struggles with Dreadking and Pierce really struggles with Thunderlord, while Normal can take them all on equally well (Dreadking especially went down crazy fast). Spread also feels like it can't make it through the entire hunt without restocking, but maybe that's just me.

The funny part is my best dreadking time was nearly 2:30 range. Mizu 2:40 range and then thunderlord wannabe I'm just horrible at so 3:40 for him lol. My first thought before attempting this quest with n3 was "shits gonna be interesting on dreadking since his hitzones are odd" boy was i wrong lol he's easily the fastest of the three to kill

@@mailbg9704 That's what surprised me the most too, cause the few Dreadking hunts I've done so far have taken forever, but you made him look like joke. 😅 Also, it's crazy just how much Normal got buffed by Valstrax's set. Kushala's LBG synergises so perfectly with it. Perhaps some more Normal runs are in order to show off its newfound power? 😉

Your gunning skills are 1st class to use Normal 3. I was convinced that it was garbage but I'm coming from the HBG perspective.

Are you gonna give it a try to HBG in rise? Personally, I find Valstrax armor more suitable for HBG. Higher raw and shoulder tackle for constantly resentment buff. I've being fooling around with the Zino HBG. Clip 7 for normal 3, para and slicing as back up ammo, 10% aff, lv 2 slot, low recoil, fast/fastest reload, no deviation...

For n3 chameleos seems to be the bees knees so far. Ive messed around very little with hbg so far

Wow! Awesome Normal 3 run! This makes me so happy! I like how you mix up N2 inbetween sometimes (for flavor I suppose). Just a quick question though. Is Daora's Hornet better than Despot's Wildfire in terms of DPS for N3?

Its better now yes. Also i use n2 to trigger small mine explosions and then one normal 3 for large mine explosion. Rapid n2 does pretty fair dmg as well

Good run, I kinda got by the skin of my teeth after two dumb faints and a hard fight against thunder puppy on this and wanted to see others handle it. Also, I'm curious about your opinion on hbg pierce builds, I've had solid success with the Rakna hbg on pierce 2 but dunno how to improve it.

Kushala is very good with Pierce 3s. You might want to try it out. Gun has 10% base affinity and with Kushala Soul you can get it to 40%.

@@piercingrain8809 Fair, I like Rakna though because Pierce 2 has moving shots and reload along with 40% affinity and can easily hit 100% on weak spots. It can also reach lowest recoil and reload speeds easily with no deviation so I have a lotta fun with it.

@@piercingrain8809 Yeah, I find it fun online when you combine it with ballisitics 3 and can shoot the monster from some dumb ranges and get away scot free. I'm quite curious how good the damage of Pierce 2 Rakna hbg could be but I like to play casually and bad to get a good idea.

Did the TA rules decide to allow valstrax armor? If so that's pretty cool its definatly not as op as heroics and adrenaline and what not. And I don't think that it just replaces a lot of the old meta sets either. It just feels like another option for some new builds to me.

Yeah since slice doesn't seem too viable even with the plants and ofc no sticky since no restock. There's probably another way to do this quest without restocking for other ammo.

why weren't you using max potions to heal? wouldn't have using them been faster than waiting for the mega potion animation? great run though!

mai receives a 10% attack buff when at/under 80% health due to the skill dragonheart. if he used a max potion it would put him over that 80% threshold instantly, meanwhile, at low health mega potions heal about 75-80% anyway and you can stop the heal at any time.

just want to add, if you don’t see this quest even after clearing all high rank missions left, it means you haven’t fight Apex Zinogre at rampage. It’s a must to unlock this
