Wow! High rank monsters are tanky! I mean, a high rank monster in World won't last ten SAED's with phials up to a hundred raw while this one took twenty! I guess this game wasn't as easy as some people said it was.

No, definitely is as easy as they've said. Coming from someone that already cleared HR Hub solo Demo Magnamalo was hard solo for most weapons, live Magnamalo was like an 8 minute fight the first clear. I've barely touched my gear since starting, made it through all of village without a death and without upgrading / replacing armor, cleared HR with pieces of kamura and aknosom. Last fight of HR is innovative for a MH Game, with it being the mechanics of the monster, as the circumstances have been repeated in many forms, many times. A difficult game would be Nioh 2, particularly the last two difficulties, I've never died more than once in a quest in MH:Rise, obviously never failed a quest as a result, and don't believe a mission has ever gone above 23 minutes => while undergeared, with a completely unoptimized build, first timing the monster with a bad weapon for what is optimal against it. And yes, there are many monsters in world that would survive ten SAED's, twenty, or more. AT Elder Dragons, Extreme Behemoth in particular. *You also didn't have an ability that gives you an extremely long 'guard point' that trivializes the encounter, instantly fills all phials, AND let's you go into SAED.*

@@Dark3nedDragon Yeah but rakna is a normal monster. And AT'S can only survive until 15. I don't think comparing AT's to normal ones is very good. When a normal monster survives as long as AT Xeno, You know there's something going on. And if you like me have been playing the series forever, it's natural to make it feel easy especially with the new stuff. Note that people starting with rise have complained that the game was too hard. No seriously. Sayong a game is easy when you've played the series and are familiar to it isn't a very good take. For us vets, we should look at the challenge from our perspectives and see what gave us a harder time though we found it easy.

Rakna is a monster on the same tier as Rajang and Deviljho. These are not just "normal" monsters. The game is about on par with World when you compare monsters that should be compared and aren't comparing the first two speed runs of Rise to extremely refined pre IB World runs.

@@leonfrancis3418 I agree and disagree, part of the problem I felt was that many of the monsters felt a bit too...samey, or otherwise easy. Rakna has a metric ton of hp, but is very, very easy mechanically (Nerscylla would have been functionally a LOT more difficult with that HP). At least it is one of the more unique monsters. Magnamalo basically just Zinogre once you've fought it enough you really see the resemblance. I beat it in Demo both Solo and MP. Odogaron, you could argue it had similarities to a few others, but it kicked it into gear and became pretty cool. Legiana was similar to Rathian or Rathalos, but added a bit to it. Idk, the difficulty just isn't there. I took down T Teostra in sub 4 minute runs pretty early into world with my CB, pretty confident I could do this monster about the same time without too many tries.

@@leonfrancis3418 Normal monster as it's basic form. And there are challenges in world that are far greater than even freedom unite could sum up(rajang and fatalis). Deviljho and rajang at basic form don't live past ten saed's as well.
