[MHW:I] Fatalis - No Weapon (Palico Only) 13'58"03

No weapons completion of Fatalis in 13'58"03. The run relies on the use of the wyvernstake glitch, but substitutes the palico gadget meowcano instead of gunlance with 2x bombs/snowman.
This attempt wasn't particularly optimized so definitely room for improvement. By using attack up L HH to buff palico damage the initial tick damage goes up from 35 to 43.
I didn't want to use any of the arena tools (Cannons, Roaming Ballista, Dragonator etc) to highlight the damage potential of meowcano.

On PC with 144fps+ you can indeed one shot fatalis with this but on a console at 60fps each time it will do 10k and fatalis has 66k so you'd have to do it at least 6 times. EDIT: You can buff Palico with wide range, rally skill, hh song which would decrease the amount of times needing to set up at 60fps.

How do you consistently pull off 25percent of its hp each rotation? I tried it with a safi horn and even auxl I still consistently get these burst numbers lol. And yes I am running the same skills albeit with only 2pc fatalis and a bunch of random equipment to get the core skills

I increased game fps to 240 and was able to do it in 4-5 cycles with 13 minutes the fastest run. Dont know if Fps is tied but when i tried at 60 fps, i couldnt consistently kill fatalis.

Sadly I don't think it's possible to do on xbox. Just not enough dmg is done due to the glitch being effected by frome rate. Note I have over 300 fatalis kills doing it normal just trying to find other fun ways to do it

I play on PS5 with resolution mode cause you get 1800p checkerboarded but a locked 60fps in all but the most particle effect heavy scenarios like when 4 players are beating on a down and the crit effect is flooding the screen. This exploit is particle effect heavy so on a PS5 to make this exploit consistent use framerate mode to keep a locked 60fps. If you buff out your palico with wide range and palico rally and hunting horn you can feasibly see about 15k-20k damage so for fatalis with 66k hp you'd have to do it 4 times to get his health low enough.

Theres a strange but small bug in the game, it makes it so projectiles travelling through objects multiply. This works by placing three objects (2 barrel bombs and 1 snowman) before placing the Palico inside the objects and whistling meowcano. Thus multiplying the meowcano explosion and dmg. The damage output relies entirely on your systems FPS, higher FPS equals more dmg and such. It doesn’t matter if the whole explosion doesn’t hit the monster, only the last explosion has to. Thats the best that i can explain it, im not an expert in these things. I know that this glitch also works when using a gunlance.

im sorry what? last time i checked solo fatalis has 66,000 hp, how in actual gogs infernal earth did you go through that much health in 13 minutes with from what i saw, 2 maybe 3 uses of the meowcano, a couple of mega barrel bombs (which in my opinion is not "palico only") and a couple slinger hits plus a clutch claw "grab" (again, NOT "palico only"). There's a lot of shit here that doesn't seem to add up. even with max palico rally, it just doesn't make any sense how you can go through that much health in so little time. i need some answers.

It's a glitch, the hitboxes of all the stuff on the palico overlap when the meowcano hits them which effectively multiplies the projectiles for everytime they hit something new. It's very hard to get the positioning right.

You might not be placing the meowcano directly under the snowman the trick is to make sure your cat is in the snowman before calling meowcano. So the bug works where meowcano is under the snowman
