This is seriously impressive work, I’m even more impressed that they actually changed how Fatalis’s ultimate attack works on a fundamental level making it actually call down bolts of red lightning, and they changed his long cone Fire breath to look like he’s charging up an attack, and then at the end of the animation actually sending out said attack in a AOE circle lightning chain, seriously I *CANNOT* express enough how impressive this is, I mean even going as far as making the sky resemble the black hole White Fatalis comes out of in his opening cutscene, like man.....seriously impressive work.

Holy. Fucking. Shit. The amount of effort and love put into this mod is just incredible. Hats off to the creators, because they made the objective BEST mod in Monster Hunter; It genuinely looks like something the official MH devs made. These guys need to get hired for MH. My one and only complaint from this is that the lightning strike attack is just not chaotic enough to be White Fatalis's ultimate attack. If there were, like, TWICE as many lightning strikes happening it'd be perfect.

Another thing it could do is instead of summoning a ton of lightning bolts, it could summon a ton of continuous laser beams from the sky that last 5 seconds each. And then to finish it all off, it shoots an even larger laser beam from its mouth that splits off into a huge radius of intense dragon energy once it hits the ground.

I don't expect Capcom or the MH team to do such a thing, since the franchise has deep console roots. I'm just saying that the Fans have ideas that would be great for the game, and now that we can mod a MH game properly, we now have the power to make our own MH game! Because honestly, it won't get far if we had modding tools, and a modded MH fan game won't replace the Mainline MH, Because the series pushes itself each installment. If anything, some aspects of mods or fan games would make it into the bass game, like that light mod for dropped items in world being added to Rise.

Actually amazing! And as a suggestion, in order to make the ultimate attack more effective, keep the random lightning strikes as it is, but ALSO make lightning bolts constantly chase the player like in 4U. This will force them to be on the run, in turn making the random lightning much more deadly

Now this is quality of the utmost degree. Some of the lightning effects lack a little impact, but the attack patterns are great and they could probably just stack more of the effect to make it look stronger. I don't think we'll see something top this for a while if ever, but then again, the really impressive stuff usually doesn't come out until years after a game is done with updates. The anniversary White fatty music was an excellent choice and they even recreated the black hole.

The only criticism i can really add is that i think the lightning storm he calls down should track the players a little more, so that way they don’t stand in one place the whole time while it happens, beyond that this mod is just done in such quality i’d be surprised if Capcom doesn’t pay the mod makers so they can make this the official White Fatalis and put him in MHR, just well done all around

This criticism was actually addressed by one of the modders in another comment. Apparently the map considers the ballistae to be players and trying to have the tracking work caused the lightning to just target them.

This is amazing. I had no idea anyone could or would mod the map like that-I suppose it should be a given with that tower top mod but it just escaped me. I had also heard from a number of people that modding Fatalis’s ult was impossible or beyond them so seeing it done is blowing my mind here. Nevertheless I’d be lying if I said it didn’t feel very unfinished. There’s absolutely nothing this White Fatalis does (or at least showcases) that doesn’t feel entirely less threatening than vanilla Fatalis, which (imo) is against the entire point of this monster. The attacks are less visually spectacular, easier to dodge, and (at the absolute least compared with phase 3 Fatalis) less deadly. The charged fireballs are a particular letdown, with the phase 3 DoT patches they leave behind really not making up for it at all, and the fan-shaped flame modification while very cool looking, in practice is just... not dangerous and an even bigger window to wail on Fatalis’s head; something else really needs to go on during that charge up, both visually and gameplay-wise. The floor lines are good, but having seen the other mod’s version of them as full lightning strikes I have to say I prefer the other one and all it’s oomph in this regard. With that in mind, I’m sure the modders are aware of a lot of or all of this and I’m taking this as an *extremely* exciting work in progress that will perhaps be the greatest mod for Iceborne to date and I can’t wait for more. I would offer *any* help I could potentially be of the group, but I don’t know what that could be other than playtesting/feedback or ideas. I’ve done some minor work in game design in planning boss encounters for what that’s worth, but that doesn’t make me a modder. (I’m not a modder, lol)

What would be better if the music changes with phases quite substantially. Phase 1-> As seen in video Phase 2-> Monster hunter Freedom Unite White Fatalis theme (W. Fatalis will actually take you seriously hence a less relaxing theme) Phase 3 -> Frontier version of White Fatalis theme when he powers up (The hunters pissed off W. Fatalis and now is fighting you at max power) Other than that the mod is great :)

One thing I wish developers would try, especially in cases like this, would be to create a sort of partnership with or incentive for modders. Like how Warframe offers player made content for platinum in Tennogen that sees a fairly large portion of the money go to the content creator. If Capcom's MH team was to bring select monsters in as Mod-DLC's for like a dollar and give an agreeable percent to the creator, that would not only be awesome for creators, but for all the players who miss out on stuff like this otherwise. Just my thoughts. White Fatalis has always been one of my favorites.

Thing is, tennogen is fairly controllable. This mod is masterclass compared to other things on the nexus, but that doesnt mean you should just copy it. They could inspire themselves ofc, but a programmer/coder working under a publisher would never just copy/paste something a fan sent them. Its like this, you're an artist painting a beautiful landscape and months after you release it, somebody sends you an "add-on" to your picture. Beautiful details too and it perfectly matches your scenery, but when you put them next to each other, you, the artist, will CLEARLY see the difference in style, even if only 10% of people would notice, it would feel wrong to just tack it on your original painting. Analogy over, I do wish though that mainstream studios would actively approach modders more often about job offers

Insane part about this fight is the fact that it seems WAY more fair and telegraph than the normal Fatalis fight in Iceborne, which I love. You also don’t get fucking obliterated or one-shotted when making mistakes, which I appreciate a lot. May honestly download this if I ever decide to get this game/mod for PC.

The Modders are very talented. I like how they replaced the nova with the signature thunder rain and the cone with an Alatreon style explosion. He really feels like a unique version instead of just a color swap. And the equipment, the music, the eclipse and the different lighting are legit. Ryozo and Kaname need to see this and be like "OK, let's bring this to PS4/Xbox with these modders". Nice to see a collaboration with Rainy.

After watching the video... I have two gripes. 1: The charged blast is a little underwhelming... 2: There’s no longer the incentive to break the horns anymore, as his attacks stay the same and the difficulty of the super move is also not changed. Though, the fact that this mod even exists is a godsend and I really shouldn’t be complaining, these are just what I think would make the mod better.

1. Don't be fooled by how small the blasts 'appear' to be. It still has the same range as regular fatalis, but it just doesn't have the effects to prove it at this time unfortunately. This may change when the resurgence mod becomes available 2. Recently, the mod was given an update which provided an additional white fatalis quest with buffed up stats and visual queues for certain lightning attacks compared to the original. In phase 3, basically EVERY lightning attack one shots you. That's a good enough incentive to break the head since in the regular version, all damage seemed to be consistent and never really one shot you

If the attack effects were like that other White Fatalis mod, this would be absolute perfection. Even then, it's damn close to perfection and i do like the new attacks as well(just wish they had a but more oomph to them), with how they even changed the ultimate attack and the arena with the eclipse/black hole. I do plan to see how well this mod will improve in the future as its really really good.

@@LyraVeil Never expected to be replied by the maker of the mod. I understand what you mean by, your goals with this mod is different than what the other White Fatalis mod is going for. It's still damn good, I'm impressed mostly with how you changed the arena and added the eclipse. It's really good and all that I hope for is to fine tune the mod to make it even better. @@donkilla1589 we always are looking in case there is a serious issue or we can answer questions , we appreciate the encouragement and yeah pretty much that XD different goals , the issue with the other one is it affects other monsters so i still would not recommend it for that reason alone everything else is entirely subjective .

Anyone gonna mention the fact that that glaive is awesomely made with its kin... I mean Seltas! Me needs that glaive and Seltas!!!! also good job with the intro music, its nice and goes well with the wind of the game, wish there was a version of that but just in a loop.

I feel like they would bring Crimson on Rise, and Old Fatalis on Gen 6. It would be awesome to see how Old Fatalis Arena-wide lightning strike looks in HD.

The fight is, considering it's a mod, phenomenal and incredibly well made But adding the 2nd phase sequence for hot fish soundtrack would be even crazier.

Man, this mod is so close to being perfect it’s painful. The only thing they’re missing is that raw power you could see in normal fatalis, in blue fire mode he can cover the entire area with his flame beam and his ultimate attack is the strongest attack in mh, here that aspect is missing

If it wasn't for the oversized kinsect and the video title most people would think this White Fatalis is legit made by the devs of MHW, the modders for this did some freaking amazing work.
