Amazing! :o When i started the game, i was a huge dual blades main. It was really fun and so much pain to kill those monsters alone, bc when i bought iceborne it got much more harder, so i had to try a new weapon type out: the Hammer. It was not my favorite, so i only used it if there is a slower and/or tough monster, like Diablos and Black Diablos. Once i finally found the right weapon for me, the LongSword, i've never tried to play with db or hammer again. I thought "Its weaker and slower than ls, so i'll just stay with it.", which is not true. Ofc my favorite is still the longsword, but damn... this play made me jealous!! Your movements is so good! Its rare to see a dual blades user like you. Great job and keep it up! :)

usually builds focus crit because it guarantees double damage

@@avihra I won't deny that statement, because even I'm fascinated with critical builds, but critical and elemental affect each other? for example, 100 fire or lightning damage, if hit the crit together, is it useful? Unfortunately I'm uninformed because I'm actually Portable 3 from the MH game, so I don't know much, sorry

@@heart_hunter No worries! You're completely correct, I failed to include that in my response. Let me explain it. Going for higher crit will increase chances for double damage so that's typically better to go for. But for max damage possible getting the monster weakest element along with crit will be the best option, especially on dual blades. Most builds CAN include elemental in them but usually going for raw damage will be the default option because some monsters arent super weak to elements. And if you look in his build he doesnt have any elemental dmg buffs, instead he has heroics (which increases affinity and raw dmg) So if he used something to increase his elemental damage like critical element, he'd have to sacrifice some gem slots to get it to lvl 3 where it's worth using. I could spit info at you for hours cuz this game gets super complicated for doing max damage lol. So in short yes, having both would be amazing but on most monsters it's not worth losing the high affinity for.

@@avihra well, as an example I only have the Zinogre Sets with elemental/unlashed damage (I don't know the name sorry) and the agnaktor set with a super effective critical bonus, even though there is 0% chance of using both, I think if would using the additional crit, with buff crit, make hunting easier? In the matter of these buffs, in MHP3RD I'm used to launching direct attacks, like... Hit and be hit, that even with the disadvantage of life, it saddens me not to use both, it would do immense damage... I imagine...

Yeah that's my fault but I posted an imgur link in the description that shows my weapon and augment. But just for you, I was using Fatalis DB with 4 points in affinity and 1 point in elemental. The last augment is left empty.

If I'm not mistaken when you put the item make sure you're putting the crafting variant (I kinda think that is going by memory now) and also make sure you have mats for it so when you run out u can craft and consume at the same moment
