God yes! IMO, hunt should be a mr 100 at least. I tried it with a random group and the highest was mr 36. It wasn't pretty.

Yeah i still cant understand why the required rank is so low when even Ruiner Nergi isnt accesible till mr 100 something that can be considered weaker than Alatreon i get trying to make it accesible but this is just gonna trap newcommers into a false sense of security

RedGhost I managed to do him at ~mr80 (now ~90),personally I think that that mr70 would be the lowest that you can do the fight at because you can have plenty different weapons and probably have some decent safi or Kulve gear to fight alatreon

@Sham, At least at MR70, hunters have some ability to use augments on lower-rarity weapons. Safi armor is almost necessary unless you know the fight in-and-out, so not having health regen hurts lower-level players extra hard.

Alatreon's armor set mixed with namielle's makes for a very comfortable armor set that benefits from defence boost and does pretty good elemental damage. pretty dang comfortable and can net you triple k.o's with the correct armor set. you can also use alatreon's armor to buffer safi'jiiva's health drain back down to 3 piece in exchange for about the same elemental dps without coalescence. just remember your elemental power is limited by eating for elemental res. so your full power is locked behind 1 faint but you can take a lot more than before. its also a deco eater you need rare decos for it. hard elem res and hard defence.

What Heavy bowgun and light bowgun are you using in your videos?

In this video, it’s a mix of the Alatreon Dominator and Albadash for most elemental bowgunning (a little bit of Kjarr thrown in too). Also used Demonlord Beastbuster for normal 3 for some clips too.

Eat the escaton cart and keep going! To prevent this from happening, some people run dragon element. You also can focus solely on the head in dragon-active mode, and a good flinch shot does a ton of part damage to the horns.

If you're playing with another hunter who is on top of their elemental game (especially if they are running elemental LBG), you can actually safely get away with using status/raw weapons on Alatreon. The threshold for the first elemental break really isn't that high in duos. SOS though? You might make them rage-quit...

Absolutely. This would be great to give hunters a chance to switch elements if they were unable to break a horn during dragon phase. If they're locked into the opposite element...the hunt is pretty much doomed unless raw damage output is still on-point.

@@Matadurr Im primarily concerned for bowgun users :/ They have to spec into elemental damage, but have very limitied ammo for it... They are either forced to use sub optimal ammo once an elemental dps check is passed, or risk not having enough ammo to contribute for the next dps check... The fact bowgunners have to eat a cart to be able to restock is very counter intuitive to the "teamwork" capcom was trying to enforce :/ Ive seen many bowgunners dump all their elemental ammo, and then purposefully cart to restock (Sometimes more than twice in one hunt) I've tried bowgunning alatreon myself :/ and the inability to restock means you can't afford to use incorrect ammo of miss shots at all, especially in multiplayer...

@@RBsRealm oh...that too. Even with spare shot, it’s possible to run out of ammo. With true spare shot from Fatalis stuff it isn’t a big deal......but most people running Alatreon’s main quest likely haven’t beat Fatalis. So definitely agree, it’s somewhat counter-intuitive.
