One of the only ATs I actually didn't mind going after their gear, other being AT Namielle. Their fights aren't total bullshit mostly because their Elder gimmicks aren't insufferable (at least to me they aren't. Looking at you, Luna...). On another note, just as usual, fantastic video and editing. Can't never get enough of Scout voicelines. Looking forward to what you come up in Rise. Congrats on getting this done on time too!

I remember my hunt with rando against AT velkhana, we're doing great but 1 bad luck and she kill 2 of my team with her ult and pretty sure the other one would also be dead if weren't for moxie,10/10 would hunt again

That ultimate is a killer, for sure. Moxie/Guts are great skills to have in that fight. She's the one monster that I tend to shy away from using Rocksteady on, as well, given how quickly she can chain together attacks.

I had been meaning to come back to it! My weapon build guides were more useful at the time though, so I wanted to finish those up first.

After facing endgame monsters like alatreon, fatalis and AT velkana, i've come to a conclusion that if you keep running out of time or carting, it will mostly be the following: - Your build isn't good enough. - You aren't punishing the monsters' opening (breath attacks, alatreon three ring of flames) - You aren't hitting the head or other weaknesses, as much as capcom wants you to. I recently came back to this game, after reaching the guiding lands in the past. At that time, I wasn't fond of grinding for decos and augmenting weapons, so I had a hard time beating furious rajang and all that (took me like 30mins, can't bonk efficiently with a hh, without good damage and evade extender). So i'm here to ask, how do you get those critical/protection, attack 2, challenger 2 decos. Is it all just time spent on tempered hunts? I got fatalis stuff from multiplayer. Now I'd like to solo fatalis and AT velk. Think I'll need those decos.

Attack 2 is one of the few rarity 12 decorations that is almost a meme at this point. The RNG of it and others like expert 2 really sucks. Combo decos like challenger 2 are relatively common at only rarity 11. You absolutely don’t “need” a fully optimized set to take down Fatalis solo, but a build with at least heavy artillery on the mantles helps a ton. To answer your question though, tempered investigations and certain event quests like the tempered Zinogre and tempered furious Rajang are the best ways to get rarity 11/12 decos. AT Velk is definitely a time crunch though. Whether you beat her or not solely depends on punishing pretty much every attack she does, and not fainting more than once due to the time lost when carting. She is harder than Fatalis in most respects, because there’s no gimmicks with her...just a fast-paced frenetic fight to the death. Keep in mind both Fatalis and AT Velk are “the” endgame challenges in Iceborne. Back when I was playing regularly they were still super challenging even after dozens of slays each.

@@Matadurr Now that I think about it, getting my first fatalis kill on multiplayer was probably a bad, but inevitable path. I tried to solo it for about three days, but I just couldn't get to the fifth nova (used everything in the arena properly). I thought about getting better decos, but that can take a lot of time. Ironically, you get the best powerspike from obtaining fatalis gear, but you need a close-to-best gear to fight it. Therefore I've chosen multiplayer. I defeated AT velk with my palico just a few days ago. Took me about 27mins. It just won't die even after sleep bombing. Tbh using fatalis gear seems like cheating to me, but on the grand scheme no one cares. The gamma set is too good for certain matchups, such as alatreon, with ice-attack, coalescence and crit element. in this post endgame period, all I care is speeding up hunts and optimizing. This includes getting rare decos and augmenting all my gear. To me, the point of doing this is less about minmaxing, but more about improving as a hunter. Once I get the best gear available, then there's none to blame, other than myself for slow hunts. When I'm truly done with iceborne, MH Rise will probably get on pc. MHWI start to become a different game once you figure out what to do. I've put 500 hours into this game, and I got a second wind when I understand about more mechanics. Slinger ammo boost, clutch claw boost are actually amazing skills; clutch claw is extremely useful when monsters are drooling; felyne safeguard is too valuable because of the gourmet vouchers you get from steamworks... I simply can't thank you, the content creators enough for elevating my MHW experience to a new level (along with reddit and wiki).

@@thfdi4565 welcome to the true MH experience, that’s pretty much what everyone who keeps playing does after they’ve “beat” everything. You’d be surprised to learn just how much better you get after 100, 500, even 1000 hours with a weapon. The skill ceiling for every weapon aside from LS is very high. Glad I could help!

Divine blessing lvl 5, high ice resist, and ice proof/temporal mantle with tool specialist lvl 5 make her a lot easier. I recommend solo, as in multiplayer it is hard to know where her attacks will land.

Great video! Are you planning on doing episodes on MH Rise, or maybe wait to cover Sunbreak? I know Rise is generally easier but i'd love to see some crap guides on apexes, specially now with their beefed up event quests. Keep up the good work!

Check out my discord for better updates. In short I want to continue the series with Rise/Sunbreak. However, I just finished building my first gaming PC, so after my great sword build guide video goes out I want to focus exclusively capturing footage on PC (4k/60fps…oh man Rise’s demo alone looks so good already!). I think the Crap Guides to monsters will have more evergreen staying power if I wait until Sunbreak. Build guides can easily be updated with a ~5 minute video for Master Rank. Crap Guides though, not so much. I still intend on starting the series back up with Magnamalo, of course. Thanks!

tear off its armor it'll weaken its attacks for a bit not the aura systeem but something to know by that i mean its combos lessen in size and number the aura is still active and it does chonnky damage.

It really is, especially the leg piece. For the majority of the video I am using the full safi set layered along with of course the Wiggler helmet.

@@Matadurr yes now the leg piece is almost on every of my armor sets. And for your armor, I really like the thing you have in your back it look like a cape, and the wiggler helmet make it better XD
