Kirin is one of my favorite fights to do as lance. It's just so... smooth, like you can really get it down to a pattern and just feel like a badass blocking every lightning hit. That being said, even with kirin being my most fought monster for that reason, sub 3 is absolutely ridiculous. I would never be able to get it down half as low.

I've still been watching all of your videos, but partially because I've stopped playing MHW myself (grinding lands got to me I guess) and partially because I mostly comment on builds and builds have mostly stagnated with no new content (although I did see you experiment with some cool para setups on kulve) I haven't really commented much. Still love your stuff for sure. Keep it up!

@@SheffiTB You were one of the most knowledgeable commenters I had on my videos. You also helped increase the efficiency in a couple of my sets. Can't blame you for the endless GL grind. I think that gets to everyone eventually due to the (eventual) lack of any real need. Here's hoping that Alatreon brings in some much needed weapon/armor diversity!

Running from KT RNG towards random spawn RNG? I can't say I get that, but I'm glad to have this run to watch! I actually really enjoyed the Kirin fight when I did the Kirin+Nami quest... It's just that ugh, random spawns really kill my mood for speedrunning the unicorn.

Even with a goal in mind, I tend to burn out when I hunt the same monster over an extended period of time. Hunting another monster (or monsters) during that helps keep my focus up. Glavenus and Kirin ended up being on the chopping block, but this run was a surprise. --- I don't know why Capcom insists on random monster spawns. You'd think that dealing with their AI would be enough, but "hey let's add a 1/3 chance that X monster will be in this spot". I can't blame anyone for not wanting to do that repeatedly; especially if you add Felyne Booster grinding to it.

Do you know Haruken? He is Japanese and I used to watch all his uploads but now he only uploads streams. Also! What’s your skill priority for a comfort lance build that would work for any hunt- I have a good guess but if you wouldn’t mind thinking about that I would appreciate it so much ❤️

By comfort I am thinking maybe Guard +5 and Guard up + all the damage you could possibly fit (I wonder if that much guard is excessive) and maybe Dios Lance and 3 vitality jewels. How would you do the dmg skills in a build like that? Do you ever use that much guard or does your comfort lance set look different

It's pretty much impossible not to know him. He's a lance legend! As for a comfort lance set (with a lotta damage), this is a good template to start with: i.imgur.com/GEwnLXw.png You can trade some of the attack jewels for Guard Up/Health Boost/Coalescence/etc.. My sets change quite a bit depending on the monster that I'm fighting, but you can't go wrong with having Guard 5 tagged with some health boosts.

Agree, I usually play lance with friends . And am still finding out what's the unique thing I can bring to the team. Offensive guard doesn't work that well since the enemy switches his attention between the team. I guess being the main tenderiser is viable due to counter claw

I used to play quite a bit of MP in the original game. One of my favorite things to do was helping out randoms with the Kirin urgent quest. As for videos, I could do some casual runs with other players, but they might not be as entertaining.

I'd like to think of it as an unfortunate development. On another note, this will help me keep my edge for Alatreon's arrival. (Although playing another game is never a bad idea, haha)
