How I see it the new version and the old version focused on different things: the old one emphasized electric guitar and was made specifically for Zinogre while the new version represents not just Zinogre but everything surrounding him such as Yukumo Village and Misty Peaks. I think they both represent the Monster well plus the mount theme is great too. Regardless which theme you like better we can at least all agree Zinogre is an awesome monster.

One thing i noticed is that the new world Zinogre isn't just slimer than the old world Zinogre, he also fokuses a lot more on acrobatic attacks, while the old world one is more bulky and therefor fokuses more on raw streangh. Also NW Zinogre has a lighter roar/howl, while OW Zinogre has a heavyer roar/howl which i find both fit there style of fighting.^^

No clue why they are making the returning themes so much quieter and more subtle some parts of the song are barely there. Its not like the base game is overly subtle with its themes. Feel pretty disappointed in the old themes , they aren't bad but they aren't the definitive versions I would have expected. For the most grandiose and in your face monster hunter it sure seems like the music is oddly less so. I know I'm probably the only one that feels this way but I'm also the only one disappointed with world in general I guess. Still great video.

I mean, MH soundtracks have always been amazing, but honestly worlds team has lacked on that by a long time now. The one I despise the most is Teostras theme in World, originally was muuuch better for the intense fight against the emperor of flames. I still find it an overall good game tho.

Tru blood nah, you just have to get them fucking nostalgia glasses off and appreciate the amount of effort put into this games soundtrack. They didn’t dumb it down, they just changed the style of the themes since the style of MH has changed with it. This remix completely recaptured what zinogre is all about imo, and the orchestral take they went with for all the remakes work for the kind of game world is. It really captures the feeling of getting chased down by a wild animal in its natural habitat. I will agree with you on the weapons aspect though, capcom straight up lazed out on that idk wtf they were thinking there

Just because someone likes an older version of something doesn't mean they have nostalgia glasses. As older MH games had a fair amount of bad sounding tracks. MHW trades in good themes for ones that are mundane and take away from the original. The reason the original music was so bombastic was to highlight your fighting THIS monster. And a lot of people agree the revamped themes suck. Becuase MHW tends to balance instruments out so that tracks don't sound as unique. Listen to Deviljhos theme. The point of it was to be very loud and intimidating, and almost deafening. But it had a build up before it destroyed the sound barrier. And it amazes me they managed to fuck up Deviljhos theme. Nostalgia glasses would be something like, MHW ost sucks because it's new. When MHW has some really good tracks that actually highlight what's going on rather than just throwing orchestral songs at you like the rest of the tracks in the game. Listen to The ancient forest theme and compare it to the Jurassic frontier theme. A lot of the older songs are higher quality than world's. To prove I don't have nostalgia glasses on listen to the Flooded forest theme and Compare it to the Rotten vale theme. Zinogres new theme sucks in my opinion.

ARZRer not really, there’s A LOT of monsters that are better suited for melee weapons rather than ranged, so it balances it out. And if you don’t like it, you don’t have to use it, simple as that

agree with Bananu here, ranged weapons only seems OP but they require set ups to make it remotely seem OP (especially HBG and LBG), tho I have to admit Bow is the easiest to use and get some good damage rather than LBG or HBG for me since in my time of using it, it took me longer to kill 1 HR Monster with either HBG or LBG than the Bow
