Its actually from Final Fantasy 14, one of the combat themes of a major story fight during the Heavensward expansion from what I can tell based on my memory. Good choice indeed.

It’s a ice born thing where you can load your slinger amo into your gun lance and then you can stick a special attachment to the monster in which acts as a better thorn pod with shelling. To my understanding

Why does nerg keep dive bombing way to the side of you? Whenever I watch these speedrunning vids the monster barely moves but when I play they jump around and home in on me like theyre on crack.

He will do certain dive bombs based on damage, and depending on how he raises his arms can tell you whether or not he’ll be going to the side.

For full burst playstyle, normal shells are usually better than wide. But if you are looking for a shell poke playstyle then wide is the way to go

Whetfish fin + ! You can get them from the fishing event that’s on right now, and they sometimes don’t disappear from your inventory! Very good.

Speed Sharpening. Max level reduces the sharpening cycles down to just one.

Old comment thread but I'm throwing my thoughts here anyway. He is not using speed sharpening because his build is super tight and made for speedruns, for a typical player it's better to run speed sharpening than try to grind for consumable speed sharpening fish. (Maybe it's easy to get a lot. Personally I don't like fishing too much, more like it's fun every now and then.)

If you're talking about the one where spikes hit one side and not the other, look at the arms: it will attack the side of the raised arm, not the lower one.

no, item prolonger is there to extend protective polish time from 60 seconds to 90

This is an old run so you can still fit it in with Fatalis armour, but it’s lower priority than other skills like Crit, Artillery, Crit Boost and Magazine etc
