Practice ledge hopping with hammer too. it's super strong. My nonMT hammer build is two piece gold rathian + brachy helm and boots + ruiner vambraces. The only thing different from the meta set to this is it trades attack boost 7 for 4, has db seceret, and uses protective polish instead of mt. I rarely drop below purple because of the 20 hits on lightbreak + polish. It fits in hard enduring for polish and my rocksteady lasts 135 seconds. I just go ham, and DB let's me play alot more reckless. It still has airborne on it too. I like the bristly pincushion skin because it's super noticeable when it's power charged, and it has an audio cue ( a chirp) when it hits charge level 3.

ledge hopping hammer aka aerial hammer is OP, 400-600 per hit on monster parts and you get at least 2-3 mounts. There is nothing an aerial hammer can't bring down

I highly recommend evade extender with the hammer if you're ever looking for new skills. Also the level 2 uppercut is good against fast monsters like rajang

I was gonna say something about Dungpods, but after watching Deviljho give Rajang those T-Rex, "If you're happy and you know it... clap...your..ohh", hands and basically killed him for you; I'd say use the Dungpods on Rajang to get him in the same zone as Deviljho. #MetaStrat

Hey DG. Your hammer play has gotten a lot better. A little thing about Rajang's attacks: If you are DIRECTLY in front of him, he has NO wind-up whatsoever. If you are strafing (or just to his side, a little), he takes around 1 second to fire off his lazer and to start punching. With hammer, you have to wait for Rajang's 3 punishable attacks: His body slam, his spinning slide, and his death lazer. Otherwise, Hammer's too slow to punish if he actually decides to attack you. His pin attack is punishable too. He does those little arm hops after those attacks (and the lazer is just slow). Also, I notice you are powercharging a little more than necessary. The powercharge stays active as long as you don't get hit, flinched or sheathe.

My best time with hammer on temp rajang is 6:32 only using wall slam and mantles, i focus more on the head on the first phases then go for the tail when is arms are hardened. Sorry for the bad english, i am from Brasil.

when agitator isn’t active he’s sitting at 90% (crit eye+WEX), agitator puts him at 110% but it also gives +28 raw attack so imo it’s worth having even if he’s over the affinity cap by only 15% (attack boost gives 5%). If I missed something lmk.
