How did you learn the distance for the tail attacks and its follow-ups?

You mean the iron tail attack I guess. It's very likely the mon(iron tail status) will do that while you are in mid-range which gives you a free TCS chance.

@@mm-ns7vz no, I mean the first half of the video you don't get hit like at all. Is that a pattern you learned or did you just get lucky?

idk if there's an answer yet but it's something learnable, it does take a lot of learning position vs the monster but eventually after fighting one monster enough time you can gauge what attack it'll do next, the attack range, the followups, etc.
