That because the burst sweep and the poke stake are blade damages.

he just needs to use guard poke after full reload for animation cancel if in range. poke poke sweep instead of shell sweep when already in position, (focus really helps with lining pokes up as well as step forward some like lance) and also in range like back of legs use more 2-shell charged to 3-shell charged frame perfect release into running sweep to top off wyvernfire gauge, (so many mid fly flinches that would have loved a second wyvernfire, and frame perfect 3 charged shell is kinda nuts for damage on bad hitzones) or just use auger to extend MultiWyrmSteak combo and then double fast wyvernfire after, instead of immediately wyvernfire when parts are red and sub 4 is definitely doable

@@petercottantail7850 Id disagree with using poke poke sweep and charged shelling in speedruns. IMO its too stationary, and its taking time away from gambling with Multi Wyrmstake FB. Being able to get 2 FB& 2 Wyrmstakes in one rotation before resetting with Guard Reload is where its at currently with GL. But I like charged shelling in everyday hunts its really safe on guard.
