Great run but why didn't you use deep schnegal (Beo CB)? That thing has a ridiculous amount of ice element which Rajang is weak to. I mean does Furious just have worse elemental hit zone values than regular Rajang? And if you *are* going raw why aren't you using the standard Teostra Master's touch with Damascus mail and focus lvl 3? I understand Rajang's head can't be tenderized but weakness exploit is still 30% on the head and combined with the skills and augments you're already using here you'd be at 90% crit and you wouldn't have to sharpen or worry about health drain and you could charge phials quicker. Having Master's touch could also arguably allow you to swap out that sharpness awaken for another attack awaken. Is resentment lvl 3 really worth the trade off for all that? And in the beginning it looked like you drank two hot drinks. Was there a reason for that or was it just a mistake? I hope I'm not coming off as a jerk. I'm not trying to tell you how to hunt I'm just genuinely curious if this is the best match up against F. Rajang.

@@Favmir is probably more of a habit on when to stun the monster, and yes, Rajang is a pain in the ass in this game (I completely agree with Henry on this, if you've watched his video)

it's because rajang has unreactably fast attacks mixed with delayed attacks. No matter how good you are you'd just have to guess the timing since if you time it for the insta, you'll get hit by everything else, and vice versa.

For those asking about the guard point at 4:15 He simply turns over and switches to the axe, but he does it so quickly that it looks like a charged phial. Notice the orientation of the sword and shield: the sword points toward the ground (as in an axe switch), while with charged phials, the sword points toward the top left.

Absolutely beautiful display I was watching Rise videos of weapons and saw how everything devolved into using the wirebug mobility and...easy blocks and most weapons started to look well...."longswordy" I came back to see the video that inspired me to try chargeblade and see how different and unique the world movesets feel Wirebugs ruined my favorite bits of most weapons Great sword RISE:Feels so focused on superarmor rather than well timed smacks. Due to increased monster movement and knockdown system that rewards multihit instead of powerful single strikes WORLD: rewards knowing the monster by giving a near guaranteed knockdown on headshot true charge slashes Chargeblade RISE:Became so focused on SAED and guard points became less important WORLD: the simple lack of wirebugs makes you explore the full moveset in all it's glory Dual swords: RISE:Don't have cool windups to heavenly blade slash anymore WORLD: Lining up a heavenly blade slash from a slide, cliff or ally launch felt fantastic and more well earned compared to the self air launching in rise Sword and shield (this one is mainly an aesthetic difference I hate) RISE: has no mounting on its rush combo World: Stab and Roll felt so much more visceral and personal to me I main chargeblade in rise over my old great due to the changes in the stagger and knockdown system I mentioned earlier. I found it fascinating to see how much of your chargeblade play style I picked up on rather than the SAED spam I see in speedruns it's more.methodical and defensive it looks much cooler to me ( AED looks cooler than SAED to me as well )

Just a guess here, I play cb more than other weapons, since moves that display the shield in front of the hunter gives guard properties, ie. GP, perhaps the charge animation gives a guard property but to the rear and right? And since that's where Rajang bounced it blocked it Again just a guess based off of the description of GPs, no clue if theres a chart or something that officially lists which of CBs moves provides Guard Animation

Hi, after a frame-by-frame analysis, it's clear that it’s not a charged phial. He simply turns over and switches to the axe, but he does it so quickly that it seems like a charged phial. Look at the orientation of the sword and shield: the sword is pointing towards the ground (like in an axe switch), whereas with charged phials, the sword points towards the top left. Better later than never !

When I can finally take a break from Pokemon, I will finish my training of the CB and master it, I have the basics mastered as well as The edge-guard, but I still f up a little bit, but i’m sure i’d be able to block just as many attacks as this person did in the speedrun

Think of it this way: speedrunners (for the most part) have to do the same quest over and over a lot of times until they get a good run or a run they're satisfied with, which means eventually they'll have so many materials they won't even know what to do with. That's my assumption anyway, some could also have their own reasons.

If you’re on console just tilt your right stick the opposite direction you’re doing the saed, like if you are doing straight forward tilt it directly back.
